"Where did all the angels go?"
Now the question is are they going to HELL (omen)?
11 2 Omen 24747 30 2,701,939 81,058,172
12 10 Angels 17040 30 2,654,322 79,629,673

"Furious-Omen" or "Amen"?
I prefer Amen, has more comedy value

I'm curious. Were you still in Omen, would you agree or disagree with the merge (as far as preserving the reputation Omen has built previously as being able to work with it's own core and rebound from expierences, for the future of the Omen Gaming Community)?

I can't see anyone (except Ely?) agreeing to merge/recruit just to win a round is OK as it's a rather lame, cheap and non-respected way of "winning".
Edit: With that said, I have no clue if there's a merger/recruiter due.

If this is the case... I guess angels really were desperate to win a round. Shame that I bet half the community won't really recognize it.
Edit: and to the anonymous neg-repper (lol) Yeah, and I bet you supported ely back then too

While completely within the rules, this just seems a bit pathetic. Possibly because I'm biased, who knows.

Re: "Where did all the angels go?"
Why not take the best 70 scored players from every alliance around and make a brand new alliance!?
Even better, why not see to it that Iran merger with USA and Syria so they can go beat up
North Korea.
I’m confused…..

Surely it goes against the 'alliance merging limit' rule when they add the other twenty guys in three days' time..

Heh, Angels dropped their low value members and are gonna send them crashing for XP before they retake them into the tag for additional score. Im just guessing ofc, but seems quite logical.

it's idiots like this that always make me laugh....
ND took their roids, they certainly didn't initiate all of them, they didn't buy them on E-Bay you moron. They have hit at one point or another almost every good alliance in the game this round (good meaning those hovering around the top 5)
they didn't have to pull off a merger to earn their position in the ranks, they went out nightly and attacked to get what they have. People act like ND sat around smokin and jokin all round while everyone else tried and made an effort, which is completely moronic. ND earned what it has, and we'll see what the rest of the round brings.

no no this is where the pure genius of todays PA alliances really shines. Instead of taking the 30 highest scoring planets in the alliance to maximize their score gain after a merger, they decided to keep the ones with the most def points! Becuase ppl who 3 fleet defend are way better for growth than ppl who attack! Classic strategy! Oh well off to the 1up tag I go.

then youre living a pipe dream. Attacking and gaining roids and xp are far more valuable to gaining score as an alliance then using all your fleets defending. In the PA of today with block wars and massive waves on single planets, trying to defend everything is a waste of resources.

Precisely. They're not doing this solely to win the round. They're trying to build something, not just get a W.

I disagree with you there, I believe they are still thinking about the W. Its not like they are building anything for next round, angels planned to disband after the round anyway.

I've been reliably informed that discussions concerning the merging of both alliance's broader gaming communities are taking place actually!

so you still think that having a bunch of 3 fleet defenders is better for an alliance then ppl who attack constantly?

Err dude, you've just made me suffer a really major case of "wtf" right now... You bash ND constantly for 'fence sitting', despite them having had a go at a fair chunk of alliances this round... "Having it easy" I believe was your past comment and now you're cheering for a free score jump which takes absolutely no effort whatsoever?
Did I miss something here?

this only encourages a longer nd/exil nap tbh. Which we know angels/omen cannot withstand.

Re: "Where did all the angels go?"
Is it just me, or according to Sandmans both Exi and ND will have more roids than "Amen" (that name is actually quite clever ), and whilst i dont know of the quality/quantity of those who were kicked from both alliances prior to the merge, ND's lead in terms of total roids is significant, and Exi's lead in terms of average roids is similarly significant.
It might even make it competitive, though tbh alliance mergers should be done at the start (ie, first third) of the round or not at all imo - later mergers should wait till the end of hte round.

I think ND (based on their history as a community alliance) and eX (based on my personal expierence) would treat our members as people/players, rather than treating players/people as statistics that can be added or subtracted from to achive a goal. 50 players were kicked to make room for the merger--and people wonder why people quit PA when alliances are doing things like this, which definantly don't encourage people to come back and play the game round after round.

Re: "Where did all the angels go?"
It is clearly pathetic. 2 alliances that have been at each other's throats most of the round are now going to merge to attempt a win?
How fkn sad, it makes the "W" pointless, and clearly is nothing but a cynical ploy to gain the "W" by any means other than actually beating the opposition.
Go Go Angels/Omen
"GelMen" perhaps ?
