The Karate Kid
Most festive movie ever?
I watched it yesterday and, despite it being as crap as i remember, enjoyed it.

The second one is better. Although when pat moria talks in japanese to the judge pretending he cant speak english, the judge says Thankyou and he replies welcome then walks off. Thats well played

I share Miyagi's philosophy on belts.
Sensei rates me approximately three belts above what I actually am.
Why belt matter?

I saw Home Alone last week after not having seen it for a few years. It was highly enjoyable for some reason :frosty:

When it comes to martial arts movies, i like Bruce Lee movies much more then the Karate Kid movies. Atleast Bruce Lee were real fast. When it comes to Karate Kid movies i like the second one most.

Strange I dont actually like Karate Kid 2 as much as 1 and 3. This may just be the same reason I dont like Back To The Future 3 as much as the first two, that being its the one that is shown the most but in my eyes 2 will always be the weakest of teh Karate kid Trilogy.
Having said that they are still all great films imho and along with the BTTF movies, Neverending story, Willow, Star Wars, Superman, ET and a few others that escape me atm were the movies I grew up watching and thus are movies which i cant help but enjoy

The second one teachs you a lot more about karate, it is only very basic stuff, but the first time I saw it it was really interesting and made me want to do karate. Its also got the fight scene where the japanease boy blocks the "Undefeatable" Kick.

Ong Bak, great film. Full contact fight scenes, no wires. It doesn't get much better, and Tony Jaa (sp?) is amazing.

I watched this film. There were some pretty memorable moments, but none quite so memorable as Morgan Freeman lauding "the best shop in Glasgow" after watching a half hour of mockney gangsters being all mean and Essex. *shudder*
