Story from PA round 9.5
I can’t help it but I need to share and ask some question about this “happening”
Last night around 22.00 the first wave arrived (from para)and covered more then half of our dear gal. At first I thought the launch hour was crazy but who knows there are loads of “stupid” PA players out there…
Well, some of us were in Gal chan so we started to organise some in gal defence and after a while it looked rather equal in “red and green” – Ups another wave appeared on the Gal screen – aha there are some tactic behind this “event”. Back to drawing board and seek up some more defence……
So far everything is cool and right there where PA should be all about tactic, attacks defence cooperation etc etc …. We worked like crazy jumping around in chans trying to get defence, calcing like mad and I guess enjoyed every minute of it….
It’s time to let you know that we are a midzied gal in about/around 250 uni rank and with no “important” people in it as far as I know!?
More Gal people turned up in chan as the night proceded (now passing midnight.)
Each end every members Gal stat turned more and more red and we couldn’t keep up with the battle calc any more. The insanity had started!
When the clock was near 03.00 countless red fleets had appeared and vanished as the News scans covered our planet screens. As soon as we covered one planet they send in 4 new fleets to arrive 3 tic later at the same destination.
Still funny tho but we all started to feel the fatigue coming closer…
So far we hadn’t lost one single roid and we almost coverd every single planet…
Then they send it the big fleets and the red color almost made us all go blind .
Back to the chans and ask for more defence…..
I went to bed!
Woke up 5 hours later and Gal screen still red as an baboons arse…
Now its 17.00 day after and they finally gets thru L on 6-7 planets
It took them about 100-120 fleets(almost as many people) to gain about 600 roids
(still some tics to go tho)
Even if we did lose those roids I had a great time and this is how PA should be played every round, but next time I would like to be on the roiding side.
Question: Who was the attacker? (and personally I think the organizer/s did a very bad job cos all this fleet score and so little reward.
And all those people standing around waiting for launch order and then have to return home cos their targets gets defence all the time…
Imaging those fleets/people going on smaller attacks they would have picked up 1o times the roid comparing to this campaign.
And why pick such at small target with over 100 people standing around with zillion fleet score?
Anyway thanks for a good battle but please plan some more next time……

To the oringinal poster.
Stuff like this isnt terribly uncommon. PA players have a tendency to roid in terribly inefficient manners sometimes for no reason. But the obvious most likely answer was that you pissed someone off. Maybe some guy one of you hit one night had alot of influence with an alliance, alot of friends, or something. There is a bevy of players in this game, maybe even more than half who play for revenge and not tactically. Actually its probably a majority.
The next best explenation would be that someone in your gal has enemies and you just got caught by that.
Or it could just be a really stupid roid raid. It happens. Ive been hit a few times this round by fleet scores that could have gotten better roids somewhere else. Alot of people just arent that smart.

Always worth checking the planets that attacked. There are several people that like to use multiplanets to warm up a target. Launch them at the least attractive targets and then launch at the defenders that have not fleet home with real planets.
if you find that all first wave planets were less than 250 roids and 2 million and at a certain point several panets with more roids started to wave in that might well be the case.

Sounds like somone in your galaxy pissed someone off, that person got their mates to attack, then some of your people retal'-ed the attackers. More people got pissed off, and a cycle of attack/def/counter/retal/ happened on and of randomly as people came one and offline.
