british security is ace

the father 4 justice thing could be excused the first time but ffs letting them into the chamber!! and when you get a chance to see it giggle at the 'rough tough' guards who waddle into the chamber from below in morning coats, one even has a sword.

They should of released the bloodhounds on them and chased them across westminster while following on horses, until their hearts exploded.

I always felt that this sort of blatant lying is a disgusting reminder of how willing people are to completely ignore the truth if they feel it lends their position added credence.

Am I the only one to think that it is a waste of goverment time and money to pass laws on the hunting of animals when our country has much larger and more serious problems afflicting actual human beings?

I mean we could of course start intefering with Sudan...
Better yet put through more ridiculous laws to try and aid the NHS and instead end up just plowing more money into administration and just make doctors jobs harder to do.
OR...
Well you get the idea, I do think the goverment give ample time to all situations at hand, the only reason that the hunting thing seems amplified is cause a load of in-bred toffs and their bitches keep kicking up hell the second it passes anyone's lips, I think they've given at most a week over 3 years to it which isn't much at all.
Oh and yes animal cruelty is an important thing to stamp out.

Re: british security is ace
it does ammuse me that there's so much political capitol made out of hunting, and yet fishing (lets face it, hook in the mouth can't be fun) receives no attention whatsoever.
could this be related to the number of people who partake in each sport, or the feeling of getting one over a 'bunch of in-bred toffs'?

Re: british security is ace
This is what our glorious government will now do. Blunkett will give another speech deploring the acts of the few who go to these lengths and will promise radical reforms in the security of the commons. Blair will try to change the subject by saying how well his government have done since taking over from the tories and that things will be worse if they come into power.
In about a weeks time blair and bush will meet to discuss 'global warming' when in fact they will be talking about korea, and thus release statements about how such great pals they are and how they will strive to improve things.
In a month once the un reports are released as to the korean explosions, both blair (and his government) and bush (with his cronies) will condemn the koreans and demand that they stop all nuclear testing.
In the long run Blair and his cabinet will strive to cover up the fact that their main manifesto contains the pledge to fight global terrorism but can't deal with protesters in their own back yard.

Re: british security is ace
Doesn't matter. They'll play the card because of their anti terror pledge, and thus hide the shameful state of our own home security.
And as an added bonus it will give them a viable excuse to pull the troops out of Iraq without losing face to the global community. they'll probably use the statement "in the interests of the greater good we feel it is necessary to prepare a state of readiness for potential instances of terror and possibl use of weapons of a distructive capability and in doing so we recognise that the state of Iraq is now ready for self dependancy".
Please note no mention of weapons of mass distruction in the usual way, as it would make them less credible if they played that card again

Are you taking this anywhere interesting, or are you just jabbering on endlessly?
Anyway. The best thing to come out of this will be the ability/legitimacy that Hain now has to reform the Commons security system entirely to make it actually semi-competent. The Commons establishment could essentially dismiss the Flourshow incident as a 'lapse' in the system, but now the entire system has been revealed to be comprehensively shite. The Buck House incident also contributes to this perception of general amatuerish security arrangements.
Personally, though, I think this is a half-measure, and I would be in favour of additiontionally arbitrarily arresting Dante. (To undergo rigorous 'interogation' by me, of course.)
Oh, and I don't support banning Fox Hunting either. Total waste of time and effort. Tbh I have no idea why Blair is even bothering now.*
* Yes I do; because Blair hardly ever backs down from any position, once it is taken, no matter how idiotic or untennable that position becomes. This is supposedly 'macho' leadership, when in fact it makes a total mockery of his judgement, and eventually leads to the perception that he is politically retarded.
