only defence within galaxies/alliances

I dunno how the new pa will be, but i suggest this anyway.. it should only be possible to defend ingal or inally. This will remove the system where people pay accounts for 2-3 people which only are there to buy units to defend you. This worked especially well this round for vipers against the xan frigates.

80 players vs. 80 players and not 80+300 support accs.. Now the best alliance will win, not the one with most backup accounts.

Re: only defence within galaxies/alliances

I disagree. With the new rule we dont need to ban defence since the multies can close planets like this.

Re: only defence within galaxies/alliances

What about solo players, are they resticted to only galaxy defence?

And the games does need a degree of external helping as new players need others to sometimes help them and that often falls to people they know before they started playing and you would damage the community by restricting this with a limit.

Its better done imho by having the current rule and then letting the MH deal with the issue when people exceed a level of interaction outside tag/alliance that the MH have defined as needing a closer look. Then if this further look suggests something going on that borders on cheating they can close the planets involved

Re: only defence within galaxies/alliances

This isn't a game for solo players though tbh.

Apart from a few exceptions (Hi Rob) you need an alliance to succeed, almost forcing people to join one might not be such a bad idea. People mainly keep playing because of their alliances and their friends, encoruaging people to join an alliance and make friends can only be a good thing.

Whether this measure takes it too far or not, I don't know.

Yes but how many alliances will take new and/or small players. I've been trying to get a few galaxy mates into alliances but of the top 15 alliances only two didnt object to their vurrent score, these being F-Crew (although we couldnt take them as we had too many members in the galaxy to be able to resonably support them) and Orbit. So these people dont stnd much chance of getting into an alliance whom would really be able to help them. This means that initialy they have to take a worse alliance and then hope that friends in the game can help them out till they are in a better chance of getting to an alliance that can help them. Some interaction is simply needed to help these players and certainly an untagged planet being helpd by a tagged player is certainly not as damging compared to the other way around where its more open for abuse and I'm sure the MH take that into account with the current rules
