World Cup Times
Please vote on which 2-3 weekends would be most popular (and check the dates before you vote!)
The most popular weekends will end up being considered for the qualifying round, the final round, and a "single player endurance round"

Re: World Cup Times
Seeing as i am bored and at work i thought i would give people the following info in case it is useful in making a decision.
June 10th/11th
Sat:
England v Paraguay
Trinidad v Sweden
Argentina v Ivory Coast
Sun:
Serbia Montenegro v Holland
Mexico v Iran
Angola v Portugal
June 17th/18th
Sat:
Portugal v Iran
Italy v USA
Czech Republic v Ghana
Sun:
Brazil v Australia
Japan v Croatia
France v South Korea
June 24th/25th
Second round weekend
Sat:
Winner of A v runner up of B
Winner of C v runner up of D
Sun:
Winner of B v runner up of A
Winner of D v runner up of C
These games will most likely involve Germany, Poland, England, Sweden, Argentina, Holland, Mexico and Portugal.
July 1st/2nd
Quarter finals weekend. 2 games played on the Saturday and none on Sunday (the other 2 are played on Friday and so irrelevant). I'm not going to predict who will be in these because it depends on who finished 1st and 2nd in the group stages as to which side of the draw they end up on.
July 8th/9th
Sat: 3rd/4th play off
Sun: World Cup Final - England v Brazil
July 15th/16th
No football
July 22nd/23rd
No football
July 29th/30th
I'm in Las Vegas

Re: World Cup Times
In terms of Planetarion, the 10th/11th of June is the first weekend after the round ends, and the 17th/18th of June is the first weekend after havoc ends.
And I have a birthday party on the 1st of July and one on the 8th of July

Re: World Cup Times
Pick 24th and Finnish people will not participate. It's called midsummer fest, and we'd probably struggle to find one sober person without even talking about getting anyone playing browser games.

I'm not so good at sobriety on days that end with "y" to be honest.

The issue is, there won't be internet on the music festivals, unless I discover a wireless connection attached to some foxy female.

You never know mate, there's no washing or dishes to do at a festival, so they need to do something to keep themselves occupied.
Edit: OOOOO!

Re: World Cup Times
[21:38:09] <TomKat> doesnt that mean that it'll be difficult for people who can play for qualies but not for final round?
[21:38:23] <TomKat> what happens in that situation?

I could play, but wont waste my summer weekends.
Been waiting for wc in pia or pa for a while already.
Make it happen in august and I'll bring a galaxy.
