Extra resources
Giving extra resources to everyone like this will cause fleets to get larger unnaturally, which will have a stagnatory effect on the game.
Extra roids should have been given instead

And I'm afraid to say Rob was correct.  Although I was in favour of free goodies (who wasn't?) it has made it stupidly hard to attack.

fully agree nice gesture to keep people happy though so I do not blame them for the gesture it was in the right frame of mind.
Better suggestion:
#1 announcement on re-start of ticks
#2 auto recall of all fleets defending/attacking so noone can moan of benefits etc.

The effect for small planets are much bigger than for big planets, hence its clearly a move to help VOM and Vortex back in the game!

So, to sum it up, more roids == less roids. Now go init some more to compensate!
Seriously, more roids would have been a better idea for the game. However, with any luck, it'll mean people dare to start initing more roids too, when they suddenly get extra 200k worth of ships. One can always hope anyway.
Oh well, this won't hurt me, it'll help me, I don't attack for roids anyway

if you want roids go and find a target you n00b those resourse's spent on ships would make it easyer
and its not extra resourses that stagnate the game its power blocks.

You forget that all other planets in the game have the same resources to spend on ships and therefore they would have worse roid/score ratios, and therefore would be harder targets to hit. Which was the point of the thread in the beginning.
