fleet catching + delayed roid return

in this thread on the new combat system it's suggested that there will be an option for captured 'roids to arrive back at a planet at the same time as the ships that captured them.

if this option is implimented, should it be possible to 'intercept' the returning 'roids, either stealing them yourself, or simply destroying them?

there are a couple of ways i can see of doing this. either have roid returns happen before combat, so that the new roids are there to be stolen when things happen anyway, or have asteroid bearing shiptypes which can be destroyed or captured during the combat (obviously in the captured case, a cap formula would have to be worked out, possibly including it in the max cap, possibly not).

obviously, not sure how/if fleet catches will work in the new version.

well the roids could be carried home by the pods, but when they get back home, the ticker does the combat first before roids return and if pods are lost, so are roids.

i'd guess :/

I wonder how Joe N00b would think when he get: A) his fleet killed B) his roids destroyed.

Im thinking he'll quit the game.
