Why is the internet so boring?
is it just me or does the net suck after uve been on it for about ... ooh lets say 30 minutes (or however long it takes u to check out the few things u need to)
i mean theres just nothing worth doin on the net anymore other then checking jokes in your email or something
what do u guys do to waste time on your comp when theres nothing better to do around the house

You are underestimating the net, and thinking the small areas of it you've explored is all there is.

First, check out news. I'm sure you have a nntp client on your system, and a server provided by your isp. Search for groups that might interest you.
Second, look into games. Not just the multimillion dollar overhyped games, but also the free ones. There are thousands of net games with a solid dedicated userbase proving the game has got something.
If you're so inclined, study something. Only applicable if you're a geek in one form or another, and have an interest in some technical area.

ive tried out hundreds of unknown games, some ill play for 5 minuts, some for 5 days, none of em really keepers worth playing over and over
i recently quit diablo2 since it got obsured with all the hacks
i play cS but i dont wanna overplay it, not to mention without my medication it can sometimes be rather frustrating
only other things i play is a browser based rpg
more MUD like then anything, but u click instead of typing stuff in
played it a few years ago, found it again yesterday when i got bored of havin nothin to do

Steve, if you got good browser-RPG's there, link me to the tops ones.
Thank you.

that link i gave already is the only one that actually stuck with me
all the rest are long forgotten (thank god)
only thing with the one above is that it hasnt been updated in so long
so after maybe a few weeks you run out of stuff to do, at which point u can level pointlessly or start a new character and try a new class
i used to be an admin on its sister game b4 it got shut down a few years back and am gonna try to get it here when i can to help develop it some more, cause i remember about 4 or 5 years ago when there was like 10000 ppl and a huge map to explore it was quite a good game
now there are only like 7 or 8 different towns and basically only 2 different paths to take to get the best equipment etc
not enough selection, but it suites me fine

Well, I think I'll see to it (When their servers start working properly, that is).

seems to do that sometimes, u just need to refresh a few times
u gotta sign up at the main site, then again on the war2 part
your questioning me about browser rpgs made me take a quick browse around, i found 1 thats all fighting, but its only "ok" so far, but you run out of battles to be fought and have to wait to get more, which is a major turnoff
if u wanna glance at it yourself

Download Meridian59 and play that. Class. Or get a UO server up and running, or even EverQuest if you fell you can. Then get 17 friends and play.
Read comics. Get into debating. It takes me about four hours a day to do everything I "do" on the net, usually I don't have time.

They are out of 'new' news it seems.
Games are ruined for me. They take forever to get into if they are 'worth playing,' and I rarely have the patience. And even if I do, then after playing for any significant amount of time I just feel that I've pissed away X hours of my life with nothing to show.
so for now, i have
1. sports info
2. email
3. a little bit of humor (tho it is starting to feel like i've heard every joke floating around the net)
Happily I "qualify as a geek of some form...", and so I bought a textbook of Latin last weekend and am working my way through that. And I printed off Julius Caesar's 'gallic wars' (commentarium de bello gallico) and so hopefully this will keep my mind from cannibilizing itself for another couple weeks. Then onto greek maybe:/
