Is it worth me coming back to PA for round 11?
I have played rounds 1-9 and missed round 10 as I have had some serious RL commitments and had internet problems, but now both of these are solved.
After reading thread after thread of information on blocks and falling alliances I dont know if it is really worth my coming back to PA!!!

As you can see by my signature I have "been around" and seen many friends dissapear which is partly why i left
So..

Should I rejoin and what are the current blocks etc? that ruin the entire game?

Alliance still around in random order;

Eclipse, FAnG, hirr, Elysium, NoS, TFD/Rock, Howling Rain, Wolfpack, ToT/LCH/GoCi, Swarm, IPC, Vision, NewDawn, Dragons, RaH and Vengeance.

Is is worth it?

Of course it is worth it. Gameplay changed a bit tho. Some old things vanished, some new ones appeared. Like always people have been flaming about the new PAx, but I know enough people who like the new ideas.

So what about the blocking? Well I think you can check the alliance discussion part, lots of bullying over there.....so I suggest you have a look there, as I prefer not to make this a flaming thread.

Cyanide, just drop on IRC, talk to some people you know, they will give you enough info I guess, so you can make up your own mind to join or not.

I'd say: Give it a try!

IMO it's well worth it! Apparently the blocks are:

N-EET-H and FDNVV

These are guesses, since I don't know, but I think:
NoS, Ely, Ecl, ToT, Howling Rain

FAnG, Dragons, NewDawn, VGN, VsN.

I thought I'd know more about it being ND BC an all, but we must trust what we hear on AD mustn't we!

blocks still?
I created Revolt at end of rnd 5, and failed to defeat legion even though it was the biggest attack in PA history on them
maybe i shud do it again! just not on legion this time eh?
since legion = dead, and eclipse = alive
or if i cant beat em
maybe i shud join em! become part of them, like being absorbed by agent smith in the matrix!
Taking my good qualities and using them in the ultimate powerblock!

I must disagree too - biggest attack was by NoS round 4 I believe with something silly like 18 million ships (give or take a few)

When much players had more then 500k ships espically when if you have been in NOS in rd4, I think incoming fleets would be a better idea 2 compare

The days of revolt etc... are long gone, a 'big' attack now is lucky if it reaches 20 fleets (and it doesn't take 10 minutes to load a newscan of it).. aaahh... them were the days.

My point is if you come back you'll find yourself nostalgic for the old times, but it's still fairly good I guess.

the biggest attack was the end of round launch at sid end of r3
Defnders had about 32 million ships and attackers had originally something about 27 million i think. Only 20 million roughly landed. There are battlereports of this and i doubt there was a single 3 tick battle with more ships involved ever.
Especially since r4 and r5 where shorter and therefore much lesser ships were around.
(game had i.e. in r3 1million warfrigs, to my knowledge noone ever reached that amount of Frigates after that. Kilmenan the r7 winner had only 1 million corsairs to compare that)

No way.. There never was two opposite sides capable of gathering that much in r5

(the attack against Yeh reached something like 20/20 +-)
