There will be, I trust, those of you who remember Duke Leto fondly. I count him as a good friend, and I'm sure others do also.

Today Pete underwent surgery for a serious medical condition, the details of which are not my business to announce over this forum. However....as part of his unofficial support group, I would like to know if there are those out there who got to know him well that would like to email him a message, of support or whatever. I'm sure (at least, I hope) he would appreciate hearing from you.

If you would like to send something, drop me a line at [email protected] explaining how you know Pete, and I will give you his email plus a very brief explanation of what has happened. I apologise for making it tiresome - I'm trying to strike a difficult balance between Pete's privacy, and doing something that might make all the difference to his morale.

I cannot say I talked much to him, but I sure remember him and his hirr movement ;-) I wish him all the best and may the surgery go well.

On another note its nice to see you're still browsing these forums McIvan ;-)

i never talked to him, but i'm always sad to hear about bad things happening to pa players.
i wish him all the best and a speedy recovery.

i wish leto a speedy recover, always a great guy to chat too (as i found in the flash/cows/hirr/kon ally r8 ..) and his AD posting has never been less then interesting, hope his surgery goes well ..

Very rarely saw eye to eye with him but he was a top guy, give him my best I hope he gets well soon.

Thanks very much to all who replied...

For those who asked, I'm well, thanks :) New job and perhaps a bit more time than in the pressured past. CW - wouldn't say that I'm still "browsing" these forums...that implies a bit more activity than is the case in reality!

These days my online gaming is mostly WWII pbem strategy games...Combat Mission, East Front, West Front, that sort of thing. Leto is my fiercest and most valued opponent. But you never know...might do a low key round of PA one day to see how it's changed (with the emphasis on low key)...who can tell?

Run an ethernet cable and laptop over to Leto's bed and get him in on this round... nothing helps morale like some roidcapping in your morning News. Never a better time for old players to look in and see whats up.

Like most, I can't say as I knew him, but of course I wish him the best of luck
