Iexplore has caused a fault in Kernal32.dll
lol, my mate has asked for help on this, he cant open control panel nor IE, and so i went googling on it, this was the solution]

says to go to microsofts site and download new IE version, but how are you meant to do that with IE not working!

any other solutions?

Why don't you download DAP or something, send him the installer, then give him the url to the ie download.

You must be confused. Microsoft is a reputable company and therefore does not make bad products. Windows Millennium, as a product of the Microsoft Corporation is ergo a good product.

reinstall/repair the windows install. Could vary from a corrupt kernel32.dll to a fault in explorer, iexplore or any dll either of those programs use.

i talked to him on the phone just then

every single app is making kernal32.dll faults

i had sent him a pcdoctor type file before his MSN faulted, and that wouldnt run either

so nothing works now...its buggered!

General Kernel32.dll problems are often a memory problem.

Backup, reformat, reinstall. If you're still getting them could be memory/motherboard issue.

More likely a "you are running the world's second most unstable operating system" issue (second to Win95, ofc).

Seriously.
Upgrade to WinXP, or Win2k if you can't afford XP.

it could be corrupt memory....


download memtest86 from the net (or some such i cant remember exact name) give him a floppy and tell him to run it.
