Is there any chance we could maybe have a race which has all EMP/cloaked/Thief Ships for rnd 10?
Not as strong ofc, but something which could bring in more tactics and even use up spare resources you always seem to have.

If not is there any chance we could have a 1/1 swap? like i do a 50k M for C swap with a gal m8?

Any1 else think this would help, or is it just me?

Although possible to implement, it's tricky to do it and keep it balanced. As that's never stopped them before, I expect to see two of these races in r10 : )

Of sorts an opportunist (and lucky) zik can do this with the current (well, R8) stats.

I personally think that if we keep the four races then it takes away from three of them if the fourth has a bit of everything. It'd be like being zik withouth having to go out and get the ships.

Just get a Zik account and have your mates (preferably 1 terran, 1 Xan, 1 Cath) donate their ships to you, and you will be able to be a combo of all races. (just make sure that you are always bigger or atleast within the 20% of them).

And if it is done correctly, you will even gain score by doing this.

Sorta takes away from the challenge. It does also raise questions, like where do you find such kind 'friends'?

one way to implement "mixed races" and a whole new economic spin on pa would be some kind of ship market where one can sell/buy or trade ships with other players.

a market in ebay style would prevent loopholes to donate ships.

I know this can be done with Zik, but you have to steal it to have it.

I'm talking being able to buy a mixed race ship, and being able to use all my resources and also having a nice fleet combo. I find it boring having either all cloaked ships, or mainly all EMP ships, i would rather have a fleet with 3 EMP 4 normal 3 cloaked and 2 stealer or something...

I guess im talking a bit like rnd 4 were you had to decide SPectre's or Battleships etc... Atleast this way Scanning some1 and seeing there race is 'Terrans' doesnt exactly mean they dont have cloaked ships...

I like the element of Suprise..

Why not have the ability to get the 'construction details' from a market. 2FI 2CO 2FR 2CR 2DE 1BS (stops specialized fleets).

Then you can build, what you want really.

Trading will have to a be 1for1 ship then, actually it will need to be calculated on resources to stop people making private gals and trading a FI for a BS.

I used the term 'trading' loosely. Perhaps the galaxy fleet could be reinstated as some sort of ship fund, which the MoW has control over much the same way as the MoD does the galaxy fund. Of course if the system is opened up like that then there will be sad and pathetic people who need to receive donations in order to further their planets. I pity these people.

It was more in reference to random galaxies, to encourage new players to integrate with the players closest to them.

why not have a race called "mongs" that took 4 times as long to do res/con but gave you all ships types.

ofc one certain alliance had been perfecting being mongs all 8 rounds so they dont get the choice
