Possible continuation of round 8...

We all know the state of play, at the moment it's stopped. Zeus and Fudge (you guys are ace btw) are trying to sort out a way to finish the round and at least one of the bidders for the game will finish the round if his bid wins. It's up to us to make sure there's someone to play it though, galaxies, alliances, BGs, all of us. Our galaxies have shown us that there's still a lot of 'less dedicated' players out there and if PA just vanishes for a week or more we may never see them again unless we put the effort in

Whether Zeus/whoever plans to mass mail all players as soon as (assuming something is sorted) things settle down and let them know the round will resume at xx:xx on xx December I don't know, could be a good idea though.

Zeus: You've shown the last 2 days you thoroughly deserved your job title at FS (community director?) and no matter what ends up happening you have my undying respect for all you efforts on behalf of the community. It's not FS in any way now, just the community and I for one thank you.

Fudge: I know you're more behind the scenes than Zeus but the same goes for you, we don't hear from you but we know you're there doing your best and no-one can ask more than that. Especially as you're both doing it for free.

Karmulian: You helped shift the forums in record speed. Kudos to you too

Here's hoping for a succesful end to the round, even if there isn't I'll be back for the new owners \o/

While I dont like ruining Karms moment of glory he actually had very little to do with the move (I had to fill him in on what was going on with forums yesterday ). All Karm did was make a few fine tunes to some of the settings (such as the styles) which had become broken in the move and while he deserves some praise for getting that done the real praise should go to the guys at X-ion Entertainment who carried out the move to their servers

Yeah Zeus rocks
but i do hope (if) when things restart we are all given enough notice to umm recall fleets that are about to get smashed and that all the inctives and those thatdon't use irc are given notice of when it's happening or the already to small community may be even smaller

I dare predict that if the Round can be resumed we will all start with our Fleets back at Home, heading nowhere.
That would be the sensible thing to do, as it p***** of the least (if any) People.

I would like to join in to the praise-choir: Many thanx Fudge and Zeus for all the hard work, and doing everything you can.

Zues and Fudge have both been the ones I respected in crew and the good work continues.

Its a shame a certain "admiral" showed he is a spinner in name and nature and that Zues didnt have the control all along... or Fudge.

I sincerely hope this works out for the best. Its admirable that the creators are dedicated enough to work for free all this time.

Yus i only sorted out the **** up with the db after the move.
which itself anyone with the slightest bit of vbb experience could have done

my thanks also goes out to X-ion especially Entro and Masta, for the continued support they are providing when things bugger up
