In other years when there was a fifa world cup, there was also a pa world cup. Sort of a speedgame with slightly different rules.
is there going to be one this year?

Anyone got any slightly more specific preferences beyond private galaxies?

Length of time, 1 round or playoffs then final, tick speed, method of winning (special roids vs pure value), size of galaxies, etc.

In the past we've done UK, Non-UK Europe and rest of world groups, I think.

No XP, private gals, no tag.
No play off as it have been normal to trade away accounts from play off until final stages?
Maybe have team captains who can choose players themself?
dunno how many would be interested in competing?

10 man private galaxies, have some sort of qualifier if a lot of people are interested. Ideally the final should have like 15 gals or smth?
Run it over a weekend, 2 minute ticks.

Total score wins, screw special roids etc.

Also, I wouldn't do a UK only qualifier, rest of europe qualifier etc. Everyone knows norwegians are the best and the sternest competition would be from some die-hard romanian/serbian or smth bp :p

I'd like to see a similar setup to the Christmas round - i.e. war/science races and a bit more old-PA style, so I agree with most preferences already mentioned.

- 14 hours Saturday (split the gals into two tables - top half and bottom half)

I won't be doing anything less than multiples of 24 hours as it includes more than just Rest of World - unless Europe are happy doing midnight until 14:00 GMT? ;)

I was thinking you could have qualifying as being c2 is europe and c3 is rest of world, they can't hit each other, and then the top 5 galaxies from each cluster go through to the final the week after, where the separate clusters are the same, but now the clusters can hit each other. There will be cluster defence ETAs so that europe and rest of world can help each other.

As I'm sure most people are aware by now, we can't go "back" to old pre round 14 code. We can change to 2 races of War and Science, and change (or disable) covert ops and governments.

We should also be able to set up galaxies as alliances, so that galaxies can use their alliance tools.

I would suggest that we use two weekends, something like 12:00 GMT until 12:00 GMT (though happy to consider 18:00 GMT till 18:00 GMT or similar) from Saturday until Sunday.

we could have some sort of football-themed skin, if someone is willing to look at making one :)

I like the 10 man Gals Each gal submits to which region they are going to be apart of. Max 4 of each region? Top 2 from each region go into a 10 man pool for the winner. Total Score wins.

Qualifiers are 24h ticks every 2 min, thats 720 ticks which is a good length.


Edit: As for the stats I would like to see a 4 race ST stat/light MT stat set.
Terran/Cath/Xan/Etd. (no zik but a few steal ships for Etd)

720 ticks is too short imo, need enough time to go back and forth with backstabbing :D

I really feel like enough thought needs to be put into which countries should be in which region. Some countries have a lot more players than others, and it's stupid if 2/20 nordic gals go through while 2/5 <insert other qualifying group here> go through!

I dont get this UK, non UK Europe thing.

Surely Holland, Germany, Norway, Finland can easily get more than 1 gal each? How does this work? What if there is 4 gals of people from UK? I wouldnt be surprised if Korea could make a gal too... and Austrailia and New Zealand and you could easily get 5+ Gals from the United States and Brazil...
