Ladies and Gentlemen,
As some of you may be aware, Spinner is currently very ill. He has been admitted to hospital and is therefore unable to help us with preparing and beta testing Round 13. Whilst we reassess our position and make some crucial decisions, we will be running another free speed game for anyone who wants to keep themselves busy.
Free Speed Game number 2 will be run next weekend, that’s Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th February. The ticks will begin at 6pm on Saturday and run non-stop, 24 hours, through to 6pm on Sunday. There will be some minor tweaks to the stats, specifically to the Terran race. Unlike the first speed game, planets will be able to defend against each other and will gain XP in the usual way. We’d like to wish Spinner a quick recovery and for those of you who would like to spare a few thoughts for our wonderful coder, we’re intending to print out and deliver to him any good wishes you send to
