How many CD's you got?
I just counted mine to a good one hundred and fifty eight.
Music cd's of course. Bought honourably with real cash.

About 60.
I'm very picky though, I'll only buy a CD if I think I'll listen to it again and again.
I assume you're not including singles, just albums.

Christ knows. Too many.
I regularly find CD's that aren't pirates, but I have no recollection of purchasing.
I found a CD from 'The Boy Wunda' a few days ago. It's a dance hit called 'Everybody' from about 3-4 years ago, I think.
I'd like someone to explain that, because I can't.

Last count i did 3 odd years ago was about 900. I gave up then. (And yes these are all legit - I started buying before the term "MP3" or even "Internet" existed in my vocabulary)
I actually have more vinyl now than CD's (Probably about 1300 odd)

I used to buy a new cd every week, but as of late there's been nothing worth buying.. the market is flooded with far too much pop teen idol stuff nowadays.

maybe about 60 or 70, but due to the sheel amount of CD's my housemates have, we have to list them as a seperate item on the house insurance, just in case (if you include me + my housemates collections we are probably up around a k or so)

Maybe 150. But if you ask me to find any of them, i could probably find about 20. I've lost/borrowed away/stepped on too many of them.
That really makes me sad

Well, that's it, you see, some people have 2mbit connections and Dachas, and some of us have to queue for our bread every morning.

About 250-300. As someone said above though I haven't been buying many recently as most new cds are pure unadulterated crap.

i dont know anyone who buys CDs in this country. I have friends from the far east and i get :ninja: copies from them (for like £1 an album) otherwise everyone i know uses p2p/ftp to get the music. What i want to know is where does the music come from, noone i know buys it, but it ends up on kazaa/winmx etc like magic. Kazaa is run by leprechauns.

no more than 20 which I bought legally. A LONG time ago (when I didn't have interweb)
I'm not buying CD's anymore since I realised that 90% of the songs on a CD are usually utter crap. And ofcourse because they are too fecking expensive (not even taken into account that only 10% of the content is worth while)

About 350 legitimately acquired compact discs and about 40 copied ones. I only copy cds from friends when they really interest me and they are no longer available.
I don't care much about included booklets and cover art when buying cds but I do appreciate the slightly better sound quality and the fact that they last longer than copied ones. That and I don't mind supporting musicians financially when I like their music.
Internet I only use to experience music I previously hadn't had the privilege of listening to and/or non legally available music and pop/rock hits.

I'm the nicest person I know!
Anyway, CDs are a poor investment - they don't seem to last very long compared to their price, even if you don't randomly set fire to them.

~60.
I actually went out planning to buy some CDs tonight for the first time in like a year, and they're like 20 friggin dollars. Thought I'd be nice and give the artists 50 cents or whatever it is they get from these purchases, but $20 is too much, even if I didn't already have the best songs for free.

Around 60 odd (albums wise) I think, but since I rip all my music and keep it on the PC they're all in the attic.
To any RIAA representatives hanging around: If copying my CDs to the harddrive for my own use (and occasionally burning to CDRW for use in my discman) is illegal then you can kiss my hairy ass.
Thankyou.

36 albums, I don't really buy many albums because i'm quite picky (of those 36 albums there are 15 bands, so that's like 2 albums per band )
i don't rip albums off the internet becuase of my 56k, i just download various songs I like the sound of or download a few songs off an album before buying it maybe. I get a lot of music from my sisters CDs and she has a few hundred albums and even more off her fast connection at uni

it took me a long time to find most of them.
lots of "desert" rock.
and lots of old nirvana bootlegs.
