Re: Are there any RP'ers in England?
Well since the "#idle-RPG" was so unkindly closed for "coming close to" breaking "several clauses," I'm officially hijacking this thread from this post on.
Are there any RP'ers in England

Well...maybe it was going sliiightly against the spam rule thing, but I'll have it be noted that it was not me who was involved in the last spam bout. Anyway you gotta lighten up, 1 "spam" thread on the entire first page, that wasn't even started by an RP'er...I guess you expect us to go to GD to "spam" (or rather post posts that aren't RPing). True if there was 2 or 3 or 8 spam type threads in RP then you have to take action fast...but this forum is barely active as it is, obviously you're just trying to get it even more dead by forcing RPers to only create Roleplaying threads. Have fun modding this forum in a few months when there's 1 RP thread that gets more then 1 post per month.
PS Ban me/report me if you want, you know quite well it won't really have any effect..
PPS I'm not trying to be insulting, just making some observations.
PPPS Ok I lied, I don't like my hijacked threads being closed. :upset:
PPPPS But you're a decent fellow so don't take anything personal.
PPPPPS Not like I'll be around in a few months.
PPPPPPS lol bye

Re: Are there any RP'ers in England?
By allowing us to express our spammier sides in one thread, Darkling, you prevent us from spamming in other threads. If we have this as the 'designated RPer spam thread' then we solemnly promise to keep spam in other threads to an absolute minimum. Well, I do anyway...

Re: Are there any RP'ers in England?
But they're all scary :/. This way we'd keep the spam 'in the community'. It takes all the fun of GD without the unpleasant backlash (such as 'DM is old' jokes and threads about football).

Re: Are there any RP'ers in England?
fortunately, there are still people in safe places for when the GDers overrun England. Everyone knows they'll never make it in here and if they do, we'll send the cows after them, we've got plenty anyways.

Re: Are there any RP'ers in England?
YOuall seem to be missing a key point here, the fact it was spam thread was just on of the breaches in the rules. It was tghe others I was more cosnered with as they are there to keep decency within threads wetehr its GD, RP, PA Discussions etc. The rules apply to every section. Id suggest you look up on the Forum rules somtimes if you fail to see where you where breaching or almsot breaching the ones i mentined.

Re: Are there any RP'ers in England?
On the whole no though i do hold some tolerance for the bar threads sicne the principle behind them is to covnerce with others in whatever form. But do not try to twist my words the decsion ultimtly rest with me for better or worst, I show lencay and dont try to be warmonger and stop everyhting that goes on around ehre some of its harmless. But I cant ignore all of it and will not either taht just ebing a bad moderator and sicne they took that previous thread to far i was forced to act.

Re: Are there any RP'ers in England?
Obviously there are different standards of what is acceptable in one lone non-RP conversation thread here (because Bar/Inn threads are RP, even if they are more conversational then quests..you're still in character, at least the last time I RPed in one of them). As someone else pointed out, the #idle thread was by far the most active thread in RP - the last thread on the first page has not had a reply since the 8th of March. I never accused anyone of being a "warmonger" either, I simply requested a thread to be left alone for conversation between those who are still around that RP (i.e. Dachi etc) and someone that doesn't RP but used to (i.e. me). Apparently it's a strict RP only forum, so I bid you all a good bye except for the occasional time Sean links me to a thread in need of flaming.
Wait, that's what was happening before.

I run a BBQ for Rp'ers, or have done for the last two years. Last year... I think it was 27 people came. Mainly british RP'ers, but some from as far abroad as the US (co-incidence, not planned... as such). To cut a long story short: Look at Cyrax's webpage for more information, and a lot of photo's. There might be one this year, fingers crossed... (Thread coming soon... ish... maybe... If I pull my finger out and think about the logistics of 20 or so people at my place AGAIN)...
Still, Hopefully that's some help.

It quite possibly was.
Still. Is it really important? I say that above, because you were spending time with Darkling, not just coming to the BBQ...

I really never had the time to goto the BBQs since a vaste lack of money and time off work came into play, however I do plan to goto one someday, hopefully. I gain more money nowheredays and have more time to myself so I may actually arrive this time

Good good.
You just take for granted that it happens. I seriously have an I can't be arsed factor coming into play.
But yeah, It really does need to occur just once more. Then at least I can say it's a tradition

Re: Are there any RP'ers in England?
a BBQ with a 'no drinking' rule is not a proper BBQ, just a garden cookery show
