And that view is Bush approved, apparently:

Hmmmm and i guess the rest of the worlds natural features might be declaired less natural then.

I see he plans to work his 'leave nobody behind' education policy by dumbing down everything.

it takes the piss, if for no other reason than to stop bush's attempts to bring together state and religion, he needs to lose the election

Re: His work is all around us
I just wonder what other religiouse lobby group
pressures the Bush administration would submit to over the next term, if they were to retain power....
Wonder how much the lobbist paid to get this one done..... some meeting, somewhere, someone said this was a priority.... "Forget poverty, we have to sort out this Grand Canyon problem"

to be fair, large parts of america are heavily religious, thus it makes sense to do something to get them on your side...

Re: His work is all around us
ture, but when state and religion are clearly seperated, and an administration blurs the line, its still a bit annoying really

yeah but couldn't you just say you prayed for them? after all the teleevangelists seem to get good ratings despite the fact they're dumb ****wits.
I don't hate religion at all just wish people would stop excusing decisions based on their faith.

"Leave no child behind" to be more accurate. This is significant when one can argue that 'at a certain point in ones life, they cease to be a child.' Therefore, I could easily claim once you can wipe your own ass, you're an adult.
Ta da, I'm president, lol!

to an extent, i favour this system. gcses and a-levels are all well and good (well, quite bad actually, but that's by the by) but they don't really get you ready for a job. personally, i'd be happier if my education had given me those kinda skills.
that said, it's not that tricky to differentite between a decent electrician and a shite one - my worry is that this is an excuse to devalue qualifications even further

BY THE WAY, IF YOU'RE AMERICAN, YOUR VOTE FOR THE OFFICE OF THE PRESIDENT DOESN'T REALLY MATTER. IT'S JUST TO MAKE YOU FEEL GOOD.

That's why every year I vote for the socialist worker's party.
Well I would but I haven't bothered registering to be honest.

Re: His work is all around us
If it's being sold by the park service then it's quite clearly using government services to promote a religious agenda.

Re: His work is all around us
I'll be in Baltimore on Election Day, so I guess I have a week or two to say goodbye before I'm consumed in a the nuclear fireball Al Qaeda lets off in Washington in an over-the-top fireworks display to celebrate whoever wins the chance to be have the media be all, like;
'Hey, you're the President, I guess I'd better hate you and your policies for the next four years, call you a lobbyist pandering corpo-whore who wouldn't know real justice and the needs of the common people if they were placed on the top of the the Washington Mounment and I was dropped, arse first, on to it from a very great height'
