I'd argue this; he suffers from the same flaw as arsenal in general (although in both cases this has been diminished in recent times) of attempting to be over intricate; too often he's been seen to attempt to curl the ball over the keeper into the bottom corner when a simpler shot would have gone much better.

Re: SPL - Whats going to happen guys?
Perhaps, but i just think hes fantastic. Theres no one id rather have in my team, the fact people create a "Henry vs Ruud" argument when theres no comparison whatsoever, astounds me

It's the same way you can have Beckham vs Figo arguements; similar position, but totally different style of player.
[edit]
Clarifying my statement somewhat.
I'm trying to say that the absolute comparison of players is rediculous, as unless their games are very similar it's more than pointless. On the other hand, you can compare and contrast what qualities the respective players bring to sides, and which one you'd prefer under your style of team.

Yes, either him or Zola, certainly. They are players with a touch of magic about them, unlike the ones listed and something that Larsson, great player though he is, just doesn't have.
I can't think of players I'd truly love to watch than Cantona or Zola in British football. I mean even with Zola, the man was illegal last season when he was ancient, let alone when he could run.

My point was that Cantona hasnt played in britain for what.. 5 or 6 years now at least. The premise to this argument was that over the last six or seven years larsson has been consistently the best (minus henry). Zola was a touch of magic, i cant deny.. but he wasnt always magic. ****ing fantastic player none the less though, players like him made the premiership the best league in the world

Re: SPL - Whats going to happen guys?
And now the premiership is a bag of shite with 3 really good teams and 17 others who aren't as good as they think they are. A lot of them look like Nationwide teams. They really do.

Re: SPL - Whats going to happen guys?
How anyone can rate any Premiership or SPL player of the last 10 years above Shearer astounds me.

Re: SPL - Whats going to happen guys?
shearer is a average player with enough luck to be exactly where he needs to be to "tip" the ball over the line.. the team does the work for him

Of course, you don't see the other side of the coin, which is someone like Koen being utterly astonished at the quality of players that even the small premiership teams have.

You know, id argue that. I think it is the best team in the world, but i just think the gap between the teams outside arsenal man utd and chelsea has shrunk. Anyone can beat anyone on their day.

Re: SPL - Whats going to happen guys?
Mutu has only scored about 5 goals, so you can hardly call him the best in Britain yet.

Re: SPL - Whats going to happen guys?
I bought these two videos of Eric Cantona a while back. Just watching what he did on the pitch one is moved to applaud. It's not just the goals it's the vision and passing and off the ball movement and outrageous flicks off the outside of his boot. I'm almost tempted to argue him versus larsson over the past seven years based solely on the fact it includes the 95/96 season where he single-handedly won Man Utd the double.
