PS2 Online
After actually SEEING the thing that connects the PS2 to either modem (which will be crap) or broadband (hurrah) i am wondering if anyone has the release schedule for the rest of the world, or even if it was merely an advert showing something that hasnt been releaed anywhere yet?

IF it has been released please tell me where i might purchase or have someone purchase such a fine piece of equipment in America.

According to an unnamed source :

The official release date for the UK is Spring, but it'll probably be delayed until Summer.

It'll be broadband only (as opposed to broad/narrow in one device).

I know someone with two adaptors

You all realise that a standard USB modem will suffice for a PS2 don't you?

THPS3 has the 'network' option, and I was able to connect and play online with a PS2 using the 56k USB Modem which came with a friends Packard Bell PC.

Just like a standard USB Keyboard and Mouse will work with a PS2.

Haven't tried BT ADSL USB modems or the Telewest Surfboard with USB on a PS2, but I'm assuming that it won't work, as THPS3 used a BBS style system where you dialled into the server, instead of accessing it over the internet.
