If im kinda blind and not seeing it then ignore me, but i think along with a portal and stats and manual link and whatever there should be a Forums link ingame.
that saves the hassel of opening two new windows to get to the forums.

Unfortunatly, to make this possible, all of the game skins would have to be re made and as I am sure you can imagine, this is far easier said than done!

I could stick a little linky in the MOTD thought that says "The forums are located here, clicky clicky".

Infact, I shall do that now :-)
