New Idea For A Game
Killing Mister Bond
So you can be like the Dr. Evil Archetype, and choose to either swipe some nuclear weapons or maybe rob Fort Knox or something like that.
Anyway, you succeed in going in and getting the stuff, but it's going to be a while before you can excape. And by that time, intelligence agencies around the world have found out what you are up to. Obviously they are going to send in agents to stop you from getting away with it.
So you set up your flunkies whereever you want to, put up some traps, maybe set up some cameras so you can keep an eye on things. And don't waste time explaining your evil plans to the agent before killing him. Plenty of time to talk when he's dead.
So you could play as the villain, the Agent, or you could play as mercenary working for the villain. (You could certainly have multiple agents , and/or multiple mercenaries. But the reward money would get split between surviving agents, and the villain would only be willing to buy so many mercenaries. It's all economics etc.)
And different servers would have different penalties for dying etc., maybe on one die once lose your character, maybe on another dying only costs you money. I don care.
Kinda because I just beat the game I was playing and I'm bored again.

hmmm
there's a game in development that basically does that.
You have to build and run an evil layer, and prevent it from getting infiltrated whilst trying to take over the world.
Forgot wtf it's called though

one of my favorite all time games, you'll be unsurprised to know.
the problem with that was that no one could play as the good guys.

You're a malevolent mastermind bent on achieving global domination through the construction of the ultimate doomsday device.
Build a secret base, gain notoriety by completing daring missions, repel the forces of justice in real-time combat, and develop evil super-weapons to complete your nefarious master plan.
Evil Genius is a tongue-in-cheek take on the spy thrillers of the '60s, offering you the unique opportunity to play the villain as you control a secret island fortress complete with powerful henchmen, loyal minions, ice-cold beauty queens, and a host of hilarious gizmos.
Evil Genius will be released for the PC in Fall 2004.

so can you play as the 'forces of justice'/'henchmen'/etc?
hmmm they are probably looking at it from the single-player direction.

I think its single player (though there are other "Evil" organisations in the game) , and the whole kitsch/cartoony style of characters makes me think its going to be quite good.

problem with that game is that in all the Bond movies, all the evil masterminds tend to try to kill bond in the most complicated, worst thought out methods.
