battle bots
umm just seen the american robot wars
its very americanised
Such as having 2 men with deep voices saying "look at the cargane oh i cant wait jim..."
And descibes robots like
"Hes looking like you like your a gas pump and hes running on empty"
A referee who gets things underway, he says
"knock knock"... whos there? "orange" orange who "Arnt ya glad your not facing this robot"
Only good thing is they have carmen eletra playing the stupid bimbo role asking questions backstage

robot wars = flamethrowers and chainsaws.
battle bots = 3mph collisions.

The only flamethrower in the competition belongs to Sgt. Bash, one of the houserobots. As far as I know, it is not illegal to enter with a flamethrower, though the extensive safety features and the lack of effect make it not worth the effort.
Razer absolutely rocks, though I still lament the fact that there was no Razer vs Hypnodisc

tag team, razer/hypnodisc and chaos 2vs sgt. bash, dead metal (not a PA mod) and matilda.
\o/
but razer would have kicked HD's arse. the spinny thing weapon had nothing to hit on razer, and HD wouldn't move fast enough to dodge.

Razer would probably have won, but those little side-flaps on Razer's weapon would have been very vulnerable to Hypnodisc's weapon.

on the contrary, the moulded shape would bounce it off. The only vunerable part is the weapon, on the back. if razer was in a situation where it would be exposed do HD, the driver should retire. besides, that thing would probably take the hit anyway.

Robotwars used to be good, when they had to do the gauntlet and stuff, but now its just "lets have loads of fights and no innovative games".
PS: PlunderBird were the best team, Road Block from S1 was the best robot simply cos nearly everyone copied it.

Agreed and its becoming more like the american version, all we need now is trips around the garages where they were made in the uk and it would be the same show, alltho with far superior robots.

i watched one ages ago, dunno what it was called, but the winning bot was a flat thing that just got under the other bots and used a big arm to flip them over.
Was so funny watching all these big scary looking bots get whooped by a flat rectangle

Oh Biohazard? The big flat rectangle? I personally like Battlebots much better, though razor and chaos 2 are pretty sweet bots. I would like to see a fight between robot wars bots and battlebots: would love to see all the robot wars ones get destroyed. The robot wars bots all have break away pieces, even the good ones; at least most of the battlebots ones stay together. Put Razor, Chaos 2, Hypnodisc and Panic Attack vs Biohazard (The flat rectangle) Son of Whyachi (funny name, serious weaponry. Think of it as hypno disc's weapon multiplied by 10 and surrounding the whole bot as a defense) Toro (can flip 300 lb bots 6 ft in the air ) and The Judge (Huge arse Hammer that makes Shunt's ax look puny). If any of you have really seen both shows, you would know what I'm talking about.
Favorite moment: When Razor ripped Matilda a new one- god that was funny.

Biohazard has been up in a fight against UK robots. There was a UK vs US "War of Independence" battle once on Robot Wars. Biohazard got lifted up, carried around the arena and dropped in the pit by Panic Attack. Out of the 4 US robots, one made it to the second round *s*******.

I liked Cassius I(Maybe it was II), who despite being by far the best robot at the time(Altho he was just a wedge, but he was bloody fast), managed to drive straight into the pit in the Semis of the Grand final:/
I actually watched Battlebots today - 5mins anyway(On Bravo I beleive), thought it was pretty boring, neither of the robots looked good(I think they made contact twice).

Was the War of Independence the one where Mortis actually did something?
If they'd put a better axe on that thing...

Yes. Although come to think of it, I don't think it was Biohazard in that episode. Though it was a robot shaped exactly like it.

Cassius wasn't just a wedge, it was the first robot to feature a weapon that doubled as a self-righting mechanism. And it was pushed into the pit by Panic Attack in the Grand Final, it didn't drove in itself.

What was the robot that flipped itself out of the pit one time? I think it was Chaos 2.
And clearly, Robot Wars Series 1 & 2 > All other Robot wars > Battlebots.

Now I have seen some really bad bots on battlebots, but you guys make it seem that every bot on Robot Wars is "superior." Take the one that looked like a lady bug, when razor chopped all of it's wheels off. That thing sucked! Oh and the pit is the lamest hazard of them all. How cheap is that for a guy to fall into a pit? At least in battlebots they don't have that problem, they deal with much more lethal weaponry. Oh and btw Panic Attack got it's arse kicked by Frenzy in Battlebots http://www.battlebots.com/meet_the_r...asp?ID=90&r=44
And Frenzy (which is one of the more lamer bots) was in Robot Wars and made it to the finals in one of those US vs Uk deals but was knocked out by the house bots (queer imo) instead of it's opponent.
