New toy :)
I've made a new PA stats page, on the off chance anyone is interested it can be found at www.vd-tools.com/browser/.
Features: - Usual front page data. Hover cursor over scores/roids for change info, all figures are over the last 24 hours.
- Quick target search. Enter your coords and you'll get the 25 biggest planets that have >20% of your score but <50%. Those figures are fixed, if you want more control use one of the other searches.
- Warning if the planet you are viewing is probably in vacation mode (1:7:1 is a good example at the time of writing).
- Usual search functionality on planets and galaxies.
- Universe stats page.
- Roid scan calc.
- Battle calc (R9 bcalc.com code).
Anticipating questions/criticisms...
1. Where are the alliances?
A. I will probably alliance tag support this at some point over the next week but I'm not rushing.
2. The figures are different to pilkara, it must be wrong.
A. I'm using figures over the last 24 hours rather than since midnight. The 'now' row in planet/galaxy histories shows the figures since midnight (PA time) if you want them.
3. Where's the parser?
A. There isn't one and I don't particularly plan to add one. I might if I can decipher the code on the one I had donated but don't hold your breath.
4. 'X' is broken/wrong.
A. Email me ( [email protected]) and I'll fix it  .
5. Why should I use yours instead-of/as-well-as pilkara/PA tools?
A. There is no reason. I wrote this for me, if you like it and want to use it then feel free. If you don't then feel free not to
6. The history data has weird ticks on it, they don't make sense!
A. All the problems over the last few days means that some days didn't have 24 ticks. The history is updated every 24 hours not every 24 ticks hence the data bveing out.
7. Parallel ranks in the history are all zero.
A. That's because I added parallels tonight, give it a few days to fill up the history and it'll be fine.
8. it looks utterly crap on my 800x600 monitor!
A. I know, it's not ever going to fit on 800x600 so 1024x768 is the minimum recommended. I'll hard code the table widths for that resolution sometime over the next day or so.
That's it, any comments/suggestions greatly appreciated but please don't flame me to a crisp, I spent ages working on this

Looks good. I like the last 24 hour history feature. It makes them more usefull to pilkara in at least one way.
You can try and convince _are_ to use his parsers in combo with yours stats pages. You can at least make links to those parsers on your page.
On looks, Interesting colourscheme. Looks pretty decent. I'm not so certain of the bright white of the coords and links on top of the stats. Those links could be show a bit more interestingly anyways.
Still a very nice effort so far !!

Nice site, looks quite good, and seems functional enough - one minor thing though, when you go to the battlecalc, the menu and search stuff disappears from the top, would be nice if that stayed there
Fine effort though, it works, and it looks good.

Nifty quick target searcher aswell..and history over 24hrs is > midnight
Small thing, when you're at the b-calc it wouldnt hurt with squeezing a 'home' button somewhere.

You remember I said I had some donated that I would integrate if I could figure out the code? That's _are_'s He's a unix scripter at heart and uses hellishly complex regular expression parsing syntax that might as well be in Greek to me but I'm gradually working on it

1. Pilkare is much nicer to look at / better color / gfx (up to taste though)..
2. Pilkare got a tuch of elite, with those diagrams..
3. Pilkara got a better layout, thus making it more userfriendly..

I thnak Gayle very much for spending time on using it, and think its greate that people do such things for the comunity.. Loking at the time you posted I'd guess you hit it around 20 past? That's when the dump updates and I haven't got round to adding a 'Hang on a minute' thingy
The front page should always be ok though, that's actually static HTML generated once an hour in an attempt to cut down some of the mysql load and get the speed as high as possible

Done with CSS actually but I can add a colour scheme option if you want to throw a few my way
Just added something else too (inspired by today's events). http://www.vd-tools.com/browser/gone.php shows all deleted/quit planets and the tick they were removed from the universe. Unfortunately it starts as of 24 hours ago but will now update every tick till the end of the round.
It's kinda boring but I'll make it prettier soon
Necro: I thought of that and to be honest the main reason I didn't was to avoid being a dtraight copy of pilkara. The data is there if you hover the mouse over the score/roid cell but I may well change it as you suggest when I redo the table layout for 1024x768

Well when I selfexiled my planet I had to sit in a gal alone for over 5 days. Managed to drop from 2,5m to 140k on that 6th day a few ticks before I was moved again into a filled gal. That was kind of a shame too. And I did not even pick any crooked galm8s to sit in a gal with.

Yeah it's too bad you can't just get the list of galaxies or planets sorted on score/roids/scoreloss/roidloss/ etc. Looking good if you don't mind that minor detail

Hokay...you can now use the galaxy or planet searches to search based on score or size change as well as the other stuff (size/score/rank/ratio).
Also added links to the front page (they'll appear around 20 past the next tick because that page is static and only generated once an hour) so that clicking on 'Top 10 planets' for example will list the top 250. Same for the other sections except for parallel/cluster. Don't have a seperate script for displaying those

looking good indeed BTw I'm wondering how long you've been working on this? I started around 2 weeks ago on a Star Sphere (oooh bad word forum censure) copy, but i have no time to finish it

Around 3 weeks. Planning on porting it to DoM once I'm happy with it all

ACHTUNG!!!
Das machine is nicht fur gefingerpoken und mittengrabben. Ist easy
schnappen der springenwerk, blowenfusen und corkenpoppen mit
spitzensparken. Ist nicht fur gewerken by das dummkopfen. Das
rubbernecken sightseeren keepen hands in das pockets. Relaxen und vatch
das blinkenlights!!!
