non-brits find it hard to differentiate between english accents.

Same for us and americans (we cant really differentiate between similar accents (similar does not mean alabaman, and new yorken accent, or welsh and london accents)

We also pride ourselves in not speaking like a bunch of rabid messed up northern junkies.

The London Borough of Bromley official website seems pretty sure which it is. I think it used to be part of Kent, and the rich people don't want to believe its changed.

I just noticed cause my mum works there and my best mate lives there and it was always in London when I went to visit her.

Yeah, I think the LCC or GLC annexed Bromley or something.

But a lot of postal addresses here are still "Kent". So for instance, the address of the building I currently sit is Masons Hill, Bromley, BR2 9HY, Kent. They don't even have a London post-code the magnificent bastards.

Down the road in Orpington they don't even have a London telephone code (01689 as opposed to 0208). But yes, much to the chargrin of the local Tory scum they still pay taxes towards the GLA.
