1st - UV great fun bunch, first alliance i took seriously. Loads of great people and very easy to get along with.

2nd - Critters. Again some of the best people in pa, mainly some very weird people who share the ability not to sleep. Big ups to seb zakoff choche see.

3rd - Virus my new alliance. Very cool bunch who have made me very welcome and met some interesting peeps. hehe looking forward to a new round and some good fights.

4th - BoV loads of fun as random in r7 and yes i am responsible for gayle28uk and im sorry heheh.

5th- Blue Tuba, first alliance in and had some fun got eaten and spat out big time though hehehe

Xanadu - had a lot of fun on IRC in the past, and #xanadu is still worth visiting. i love you guys!
BlueTuba - in my eyes still an example for the alliances nowadays. had a lot of friends there. i still miss them :/

time in WaC in Round 2 and the noob period back in r1.

I absolutely despise threads like this. This however, has provoked a reaction:

Anyone posting will have to post when they were involved with the alliance in question for it to have any meaning. Because a community is simply a sum of what people are there. And almost all alliances have had significant changes between rounds (even during).

My list (in no particular order):

AIM last half of r3. Utter nutters the lot, and ace players that eventually went on to greener pastures where they made names for themselves.

nos round 4. An anti-thesis to AIM (which was distinctly a nerdy boys club) in some ways. Incredibly friendly and welcoming.

Deus Ex Machina pre-round 6. To be honest I enjoyed the time before the round started. Before the idiots started filtering in. My favorite time with them was probably before we'd even gone public.

By round 5 I already had a distinct lack of affection for alliances, Deus sort of ruined them completely for me.

TOA - my first alliance. i joined r2 and met a great group of guys. it was a great place to be.. especially as a first alliance. htey then merged with HR, and while that was a great community (this would be r4), it wasn't the same.

WP - joined in r4. i had such a warm welcome that i felt at home immediately. if you ignore the officer/HC stuff.. the community was great. i made a lot of good friends there, and i think this was a really great community.

NoS - just joined to be back with my TOA/HR buddies. havent' been with them long enough to comment so we'll see how it goes.


i don't really rank the communities i've been in as #1 etc.. because each one is different and i don't think i can really compare them.

I agree completely. Still fun after, but enequalled before we went public.

1) What exactly would be wrong with that? Too often people yell that their current alliance is the best they've been in (ever), without actually considering the maturity of issues and whatnot.
