Pabs , youre very very right to stick with her, but once she hits £6.00 , im not investing any more cash into her, so im looking for somewhere else to stick the Divis. Anyone got any thoughts?

Katy Hall is for some reason. Something to do with her saying she walks around naked all the time, and the fact shes still exceptionally fit!

She'd get so much co... The Games people are the only likely candidates that I can see for day-trading opportunities over the weekend, with Victoria and David saturating the press I'm having a hard time finding an alternative.

I told you at the weeks beginning if she raised her share price by £2, or you got a £14 divi, youd break £3 mill
Now you have 48 hours to daytrade your way to £4 mill

For all us newbs (me) what do you mean by that?
You have 300,000 shares in posh? Or you got £300k dividend from her?

Re: Celebdaq
Do you all do a lot of trade to earn money or do you make it all from your dividends?
Say someone's price rises a lot, do you sell them and cash in? Or just wait for the dividend payout?

Re: Celebdaq
when I started, I ignored the divis, had shares in 10 people, and bought and sold anyone as they went up and down regardless of the day of the week. Turned out to be a big mistake, growth is mostly about the divis imo.
Sometimes you do get celebs whose value rises quickly despite not being in the papers though.
You might find pages like price return report and dividend report useful.

Re: Celebdaq
What's the potential dividend mean? Is it how much it would be if it were to pay out now? I assume the potential dividend rises each day until you get to friday where it pays out however much it is, right?

Re: Celebdaq
The potential dividend is the amount you get per share you hold, for the number of column inches your chosen celebrity gets that week
theres a scorecard on the website somewhere, but its basically if they get a headline story on a broadsheet newspaper, they get 0.20 on their dividend, but only 0.10 for a tabloid. Now Posh and Becks got the headlines on every goddamn paper in existence for all 7 days, hence they both got a dividend of £14 per share.
If you held 25,000 shares in posh , like i did, you got £14 x 25000 = £350,000 as a dividend when the week ended at midnight on Thursday.
Now if you had £600k, spent it all on Posh shares at £6 a share, youd get 100,000 shares. Assuming her divi this week will be around £10, thats 100k x 10 so youll get a million quid divi. However her share price might only rise by £1 a share , so youll only make £100,000 + £1,000,000 on the week.
Say you invested in Olivier Martinez. Hes around £2.40 a share. For your £600k, you could get 250,000 (roughly) shares in Olivier. Now he might have a divi of only £2, but if everyone is investing in him, he might climb by £3 a share over the week.
250,000 x £3(increase) = £750,000 increase in shares
250,000 x £2(divi) = £500,000 divi
So Posh makes you £1.1 million , but Olivier makes you £1.25 million because his share price moves more and you have more shares.
Understand now?

I did something silly and went done gone invested all my divi payments into VB. Though in fairness I can't see anyone else getting a 200%+ divi payout next week so it mightn't be all bad. Plus the commission fees have already been soaked up by her shareprice increase in the last 24h

Erm, VB will have a top divi next week. Are people forgetting that her 30th Birthday party is this weekend, and Beckham has invested in a million quids worth of Bling for his princess?

You cant really manipulate the market the way youre thinking. Youd need 30 or 40 accounts, and even then youd have to reset them every week to get the top growth in your account.
I think someone here had a few accounts, but got bored of it. With no "Prizes" at stake, its a pretty pointless exercise.

Re: Celebdaq
Ok chaps, what this week because I'm stumped.
Emma Thompson's rising nicely for day-trading opportunities but I can't see where that's even coming from. The Posh and Becks thing seems to be cooling off with only a £10 VB divi this week (from a £7 share price, ce n'est pas bon), and Jacko's case isn't up until the 30th.
Uma's expensive for what we're likely to get, and the only real mileage I think we're going to get out of Spacey is in the weekend papers. The Tipsters are saying Lucy Liu since she's so damned cheap but I'm skeptical.

Re: Celebdaq
sorry, I'm stuck too. Mine is in Emma T atm, and has been since I got capped on Monday but the divi was unimpressive (I don't know if, or why she is newsworthy.)
i don't think the really cheapies (Lucy Liu and Amy Winehouse) are rising quick enough.
how about the Royals connected to Diana?

Is it worth putting anything into some soap 'stars' and assuming the tabloids have their usual standard of stories?
Isn't something big meant to be happening on Eastenders soon? What with all the adverts of the gangster guy talking about how much the loud annoying one is worth?

Not while there's bigger stories abound. I'm trying hard to justify Lucy Liu to myself but I can't manage it. Sure it's a great daytrade opportunity but the divis at the other end aren't likely to be stellar.

None to Give. Theres no massive stories breaking as such, so im just going to sit tight at £998,000 and wait for the sundays to throw me their story for the week.

I will wait on the Sundays, and then pile in for the Divi's monday night. If i dont make it to £3 mill , ill just DT again.
