Knight Theamion, did your ancestors have a colonial house in the 16th century? 17th? 18th? What is your background? To be honest, most European rural commoners in the 15th century were still living in rock or mud walled thatch-roofed dwellings. Large houses of any kind are not typical, including "colonial houses." Only the few rich people lived in those types of structures. Africa is a different climate than Europe and therefore necessitates a different housing culture, but the African structures of the wealthy are ever as much impressive as anything found in Europe. If we use buildings as some fallacious measure of "superiority" then Europeans would loose terribly when compared to the Pyramids and statues found in Egypt, when compared to the sturctures build by the Malo empire, when compared to the islamic temples found through the African portion of the muslim world.

That emptyness that most inner city blacks experience is not exclusive only to them. Its true that a igher percentage of Black Americans live in poverty than people of other races, but there are more white people that are living in extreme poverty than black.

There were white indetured servants who worked along side black 'slaves' until the late seventeenth century. They worked along side one another in the same conditions. They ate the same food, slept in the same place. It wasn't until around the early 1700's, when the African slave trade to the South kicked up that slave labor was associated with being black. So in other words there were 'white slaves' and they were whipped right next to their black counter parts. As for 'the englightened fairies,' these people that you so denegrate were extraordinary individuals who were courages and willing to sacrifice a tremendous amount to stand up for what they thought was right.
