writing a letter
in a formal letter, how the hell do you finish it off again?
is it:
yours sincerely,
or
yours faithfully,
cos i can never bloody remember and i need to write a letter to the assistant head of my departlent asking for some money

If you began the letter "Dear Sir/ Madam" then you must end the letter "Yours Faithfully".
If you began the letter "Dear Joe Bloggs" then you must end the letter "Yours Sincerely".

What you need are pictures of the assistant head caught in the act with the janitor then you can simply use the phrase,
'give me the money or your wife gets a surprise in the mail'
Quick, easy and straight to the point

It's Yours Sincerely if you know their name (so you use this one)
Yours Faithfully otherwise.

I think yours faithfully is crap. It sounds like a wedding promise or something.

Lol you sould like my sister. I don't know how but she managed to talk me into writing her personal statement for her. Sly bitch. She did end up getting unconditional offers for all six of her chosen courses though.
