so, im planning on spending some hard earned on this today, seen some good reviews but dont know anyone who has played it.

In a related topic, it's got a very well thought out copyprotection system - no CD or CD key required for installation, but the latter is needed for patches and additional content from the devs (which comes thick and fast).

Of course, the makers of Starforce didn't approve of this and so posted a torrent on their forums for people to download it from, because they didn't choose to have starforce so they deserve piracy.
