Re: Round 36 Round Name
And The Band Plays On is easily the best in there. Decade of Destruction and Endless War are more than deserving of the r36 cliche award. Ides of March is too obscure (I for one had never heard of it).

The Ides of March is a reference to Julius Caesar who was issued a warning by a Sooth Sayer to "Beware the Ides of March" which was the time of his demise when he was stabbed to death by his Senators and Brutus during the Ides of March festival.

Re: Round 36 Round Name
Rather lame that names like "The Story Continues" and "Space Domination" show up on the vote and mine doesn't lol.
Talk about lack of originality o.0

Just for posterity's sake the warning to "beware the ides of march" was actually something invented by William Shakespeare for his play "Julius Caesar".
It was rightly pointed out to me that this was mentioned by Plutarch. One would like to mention at this juncture that this is about as useful as me writing about what Bismarck was told late one Tuesday night in 1876.

Re: Round 36 Round Name
ah I remember the first round, i was 16 in high school and used to bunk off classes just to go use the school computers, and then find ways of getting around the computer nerds that attempted to block the game. In those days I was DUKU of Darf now i'm rafars of claymore, ah
I have watched as my old alliances have built up and then fallen, Fury, SiD and many many others :crymeariver:
And now i'm 26, what the hell have I been doing for the past ten years!!!!!!!!!

Re: Round 36 Round Name
I cannot BELIEVE my suggestion didnt make the final cut!!!!
Rd 36: 10 Years of Licking, and STILL haven't reached the Tootsie Roll Center!
THAT is by far the BEST...
Either that, or:
Rd 36: Round 69 will have a funnier name!

Re: Round 36 Round Name
I've been trying to get into the final voting a few rounds already and always tried to come up with something decent in my eyes but never made it to the voting But when I look at names like "And the Band plays on" in which way does it have a relation towards Planetarion? and yes I do think it should have something to do with PA and its surroundings nonetheless..
anyways, my vote been "The lost decade" since you can take it literally for the time investment into pa if you been around for a while and yeah if pa had more story surely for anything story related either a race or whatever, the name itself is quite good. so far my 5 cents

Re: Round 36 Round Name
i do like and the band plays on, it encompasses a certain sense of irony - but since i'm in my decade - it had to be the lost decade, but to whomever did the band one .. it was a close call on my vote.
