Filter Software
Has blocked certain game sites that I like to visit at college.

The software in question is RM Safetynet Plus.

The software is plumped on a proxy server that we have to use called "smartcache" and the port is 8080.

Anyone offer any help at getting round this? Or destroying the machine without a hammer...

I used to be creative with stuff like this, but since I don't have any access restrictions anymore I have no need to hack proxies.

Usually we cant get round it via IP but the IP of the site I want to use just gives me this.

change your proxy to unfiltered.your.school.address:8080

i.e unfiltered.school.surrey.sch.uk:8080
