Unfortunatley it's the same weekend as the Leeds/Reading Festivals, and I'm going to Leeds.

Re: i21
Its doubtful that the game will ever attend another I-Event
Jolt are direct competitors of Multiplay, and as such aren't happy sending the game to an MPUK event
Jolt however do have their own Lan Series, and we may be looking to attend that in the future

Surely sending the game to an event where lots of geekoids are though, would be benficial?
If there are lots of us there, I'm sure we could do our best to promote it to other people, in terms of some kind of "endurance" event...
Not sure why I'm pointing this out, Jolt don't give a crap about the playerbase's opinion. Where'd that guy go that posted here ages ago as the "new face of jolt", then disappeared? Name began with "b" I think.

Of course, promoting yourself at a competitor's event is really bad business tactics.

They are probably ashamed of a text-only game, and try everything to hide teh fact they host and support it

Re: i21
In my opinion
To be honest, Jolt are scared to take PA to a LAN event. From what I understand at i16 (i think it was) when PA should have been showing off round 10, but at the last minute, they changed there mind, so they had to take a modded R9 speed round game, which both
a) looked bad on Jolt, as they said that R10 would be there
b) looked bad on the server admin/person who took the server and who break the news to Multiplay (A2, Mit or Kloopy - cant remember which)
This is, in my opinion, the reason why Planetarion wont be "officialy" back at an I-Series event, as Jolt let down Multiplay and also the PA Community as a whole, as all they had to do was to send the source code / get it there and pay for the server to be plonked somewhere at the event proper.
They were worried about the possibilty of the source code being copied / duplicated / AWOL / destoryed etc and, from that point of view is understandable
Its too close now for PA to advertise for i20, as that is at the end of this month. However, I feel from both a member of the PA community and from a Buisness side of things, a Planetarion presence at i21 would be extremely beneficial for Jolt. And if they need a server, they can use one of my PC's!!!!!!

Re: i21
I thought this new version of PA was being made available for LANs?
Couldnt someone just run it from their computer?!!?

Re: i21
yes, but for it have "publicity" at an event, it must be done so with multiplay, and i dont think Jolt would allow it
