Shorten overall construction times

Somehow over the last two rounds constructions have somehow managed to both increase in importance and increase in the time they take. With max pop, dictatorship and terran you get eta 5 constructions this round, in r19 with terran and eng priority one you got eta 4 constructions. Previously it didn't matter so much because you only needed really fast constructions if you were a scanner or a dist-whore. However this round everyone needs at least 15, I'd say, more constructions (factories etc) than normal. Given this it really makes no sense to lengthen times required to build. Realistically you're just going to frustrate people who now need constructions more and will find them harder to get. I understand it's close to the start of the round but taking one tick off everything, or however you can do it comparatively with the new system, would really avoid some fairly irritating situations for everyone later on in the round.

And no, it's not strategic, it's just irritating. You could call it adding a strategic element if you got shot in the face if you logged on more than four times a day but while you might technically be right it's still just irritating bullshit.

I agree - and if we reduce construction times, cost will be enough of a limiter anyway.

Might I pose a question. With tech tree and constructions now being tied to population, why are you limited to one of each kind. Let us have three slots like fleets, for each, that people can use, and the limiting factor is cost, and available resource, population!

And the total number of constructs should go from having a limit to no limit.

Come think of it, maybe the (even than already) easier to blow off constructions added with faster construction times (a lot faster maybe?) and higher construction limits would change constructions from static production units to fluid parts of "tactical combat". Yeah. Good.
