Newsletter Content
With the new round fast approaching the next issue of the newsletter has just gone into production. However with no PA atm we are struggling to find anything to include.
To fill some of the gaps we are hoping to include the following:-

Profile of the new owners Sim-Tech
Profile of the Host providers Jolt.co.uk
An Interview with the new owner
We also hope to be able to bring you the latest news on R9 and perhaps some teasers about R10 but this will depend on what details have been decided by the publication time.
HOWEVER we still need some more content and this is where you come in....we are looking for ideas for content and being the creative bunch that you lot are I'm sure your be able to help. So if you have any ideas please leave a reply below OR if you perfer or you want to submit a peice of work for the newsletter then send an email to
Thanks In advance

Good luck finding out anything about SimTech (a few of us looked last night, couldn't find squat) but I look forward to reading it.
If the senate was up and running, I'd drop some info on it...when's your deadline wakey? Perhaps I can come up with something.

Some new fiction.
Stop using the stuff Chef and Nef submitted. As good as it was, it is kinda jaded now.

The difference is I know who SimTech are and who the owner of SimTech is
Anyway Zeus has said he would like it ready for around the 7th so if you could get any info about the senate to me by then that would be great

I imagine a lot of the people who quit over the last few rounds might come back if they knew that the big alliances that they blamed for their lack of success have left the game.

So your suggesting a round up of the r9 alliance situation (whos left, whos staying, whos allied with who ect) then...nice idea .
Also nice idea Ragnarak about the reintroduction guide.
Will get onto both ideas (if theres anything on either you want to make sure is included feel free to email me at with them or leave them here- especially if your an alliance leader and want to make sure I get the infromation about you 100%.Info about if your staying you plans, aims ect for the round would be very useful)

The interview is trying to be sorted out. It will be the usual mix of joke q's with some more serious ones in there.

I would like to see the following:
1 big announcement which will go as follows:
- R9 and 10 will be free;
-Overburn will be scrapped;
-Wap will be reinstated;
-I can wake up and find my dreams have become reality for once.

LOL, with the number of farmers in PA, it does indeed make sense.

what I think
Well I think round 9 will be lame or unimportant to any true PA gamer since it will be a clone of round 8. I also think round 10 is going to kick A$$ If done properly...One can only hope right guys.

From how I understand it, PA r10 will NOT rock out of the view of the PA addict. R9 will be the last round as the PA we now know. R9 will be totally diffrent and much more newbie friendly.

Why exactly does PA need a newsletter?
The manual is on the web
The columns are on the portal
The announcements are on the portal and the forums
... what's new in the newsletter?
(also it doesn't seem to be issued regularly anyway - maybe weekly it would have some point)
And is someone really likely to signup for it if they're not already playing the game?

Why does any website have a newsletter? Its just another method of communicating events and goings on.
Now not to put the downer on the so called portal but... this would be the same portal that took a nose dive at around say... did it ever have a high point?
The portal that is the subject of jokes amongst the IRC active community. Now a mate saw it recently who used to play PA and he wondered what the hell you were thinking with the most recent forum design.
