hotmail
okay asking for help/advise in the somewhat desperate hope someone can offer some of use
just went to log into one of my hotmail accounts and after putting in my pass and logging in it told me they'd reserved the email for me and i had to agree to the terms thingy again, then go through the newsletter thing again for the first time since registering, when i got into my account it had completely reset, i had 1 email (welcoming me to hotmail (!)) and no contacts. i then checked my other hotmail account and the exact same has happened to it.
both were fine last night
i've lost a shit load of very important stuff (job details, friends who'm i can only contact through email's addresses etc) and as you can imagine i'm quite upset by this
anyone any idea what i could do to try and sort this?

Re: hotmail
My local cinema used to show copyright theft warnings before every film which warned that you could face an unlimited fine if you recorded the movie. That almost amused me as much as the ad against downloading movies on the internet which only succeeded in making copyright theft look ridiculously cool.

I've had this happen to me before. It's generally because you don't log into your account for 30 days.

Re: hotmail
That really sucks...
Are you sure you didn't use a program like Thunderbird to check your e-mails - as I did that when I first installed it, and it deleted all messages in my inbox. You have to change the settings to stop it from doing that.

Me too, but it's not frustating because I rarely use it for anything else than MSN Messenger.
