BD and UV merge to form VD for rest of round
Hi out there,
Just ignore this posting, it is just another announcement of a merge. So if you don't like those messages, don't read it, it saves you much time.
As of today, BD and UV merged to form VD, you might guess the long name: Violent Death.
Yes, there might be other combinations of words suitable to have the shortcut VD and we are even aware of a few of them.
BD and UV worked together first in r4, HR (today NOS wing) took part in the party then, too. It was quite nice and successful, however, the agreement did not last into next round and so we parted, only having contacts between single members in cluster, but never official things again till r8.
Start of this round, BD MDK and UV allied. MDK is no more (at least not allied to BD/UV), but BD and UV both took huge profit from each other, defense and attack fleets swapped between us as well as parts of the webbies/irc bots we run, improoving many aspects in each alliance.
As we are relativly small alliances (at least if things with 200 members are called BattleGroup), the step to merge together was almost obvious at some point.

We could have choosen another name and we are aware of the initials. But you now targets have a good reason to run their fleet when we attack and noone will laugh about them for running the fleet. Instead everyone will completly agree.
You see, we just care about healthy roids.

May I point at the name of this thread... post-PA BD will go back to being BD and UV will go back to be UV (if things doesnt change, u never know)
Just thought I should clearify this, as it wasnt mentioned anywhere where I bothered to check

I don't like it. I enjoyed the clockwork orange connection implicit in UV. Also I must admit I spent three minutes trying to think up a joke involving the word "roids" and the non-PA connotations but gave up eventually.
