On Sunday 26th Howling Rain will be holding a public w00fage. This event is normally reserved for just HR members and recruits but we have decided to open our doors a little bit and give you people a bit of a peak into HRs fun and games. As we all feel the PA community on a whole could do with some light entertainment and bonding

So what is a w00fage?

Well basically imagine a multimedia IRC Event, each person turning up gets assigned a team and you all work together in your team channels, to get the right answer as quickly as possible. With each Team Captain being responsible for giving his teams final answer. There are various rounds to work through and we try to make use of multiple medias on offer through the internet.

Points are scored for each right answer and funny answers (the funny answers sometime are worth more than the real answers) the faster you answer the more points you get. The team with the most points at the end wins!

The event will be run by the HR Entertainment team, who have done many of these and generally we find them to be really fun, enjoyable experiences (which are often hotly debated for weeks in the forums) and all you have to do is turn up and enjoy yourself on the night.

So all are welcome, regardless of alliance or game experience, just turn up in #planetarion at 19:30 GMT on Sunday 26th October. It should take about 30mins to prep everybody into a team and whatever happens, it should be finished by 2230 Gametime.

HR hope you will all have a kick arse time!

In terms of how much you enjoyed the event how would you rate:
1) the event itself
2) the information given about the event
3) the coverage of the event (forums, radio, IRC)

1.) 8/10 - is dragging on a bit now...
2.) 7/10 - not as many people as I was expecting, but I don't think there was much else that could have been done, (maybe starting up the bi-weekly PA-newsletter again)
3.) 10/10 the coverage was really good, radio and IRC, the forums are a bit dead, people are too busy in IRC at the moment I reckon!!

Excellent!
Really enjoyable once we got going.
Certainly popular and a great way to bring the PA community together!
Nice atmosphere even between random team members, although team picking might have been nice!! ( if cheating maybe? )
Only one problem with random team players is that they don't stick around and see the quiz through. Our team had several leave / go afk / didn't bother to answer, which led to some annoyance.
Team forming needs to be perhaps a little faster, as some got rather impatient with waiting.
Team Captains need a bit more control over their rooms.
Can't think of anything else, but I would certainly Captain/play again!

Hehe was good fun, the team sortin hit an unexpected problem with skinny not being able to pm cos of the server restrictions, something to sort out for any future events.

We've actually been doin Woofages in HR since Round 7 but ofc not at such a scale but skinny, rebel, kev, shrike, blood and henck did a top job

I give 10/10 for all 3 areas!

Pink normaly loose.

strange woofage. even when we don't consider this the first public woofage.

pink wins (normaly get's on last place)

and I loose (first loss ever, I blame it on being late cuz of isp being ghey, over half of woofage was over when I got online. and I didn't get my Red team )

Thankyou to HR for hosting this w00fage in #planetarion. There are clearly a few issues that need attending to with the format for #planetarion events but for a first attempt it worked quite well

Nice arrangement and all, but some of the questions were odd, and the way teams were made with selection of captains and all the spamming in channels sure could bee done better :\

Hope this is gonna be a regular thing =)
