ive been able to build em for i think 2 weeks now, but i wonder; should i?
i kinda loathe eta 9 tbh ;p
and if i do build BS, in combination with what other ships, which races r good for attacking (most probably cath/terran i think).

I like them...
Anyone can stop a few k of DE with Demeters, a few 100 CR pods, etc. There is no EMP ship directly targeting BS. Even if they see you incoming, you can often make it through on the 'fear factor' alone. Include some Corsairs to flak against Sentinel/Tarantula random fire, and you're laughing...

Just paste his fleet in bcalc.com and see his shipvalue  Guess you'll have to add around, say what, 20% extra (roids/resources) and you have his score....
My guess is he is around 13M... (probably larger by the time he reads this )

i have 75 manowars, thought i'd give the big ships a try, i even built pillagers in the hope of capping some mantis, sadly i doubt that will happen

I'm going for a huge cutter/clipper fleet, suported by marauders, I've seen more than once how powerfull that is, and they roid cathaar great.

Round 8 stats suck in PAOL, however in online gameplay things are not so bad. That's because real players have other tactics then PAOL bots, and their tactics vary a lot more, which allows you to pick targets. In PAOL al targets of the same race build the same ships.
Round 8 stats are too difficult for speedgame play: early round stats are better to play because there are less different types of ships.

can any one care to calc what a bunch of senitels would do against thoose man o wars for the same value?
this round i were zik! And im having no nightmares from any eta 9 fleets... i rather hate thoose xan fi/co fleets comming in a so big amout that i knew they would kill me in 1 tick if i didn't run...
So in the end xan rocked this round without any doubts.
Both for the alliance and for the player itself.

The MOWs get slaughtered. I posted something during the round about sentinals being able to slice and dice just about every large ship in the game, they really were too strong with that T3=all. Not that I complained at the time, not with half my fleet being sents

it's alot worse to wake up with xan incomming eta 5 than zik incomming eta 7.
zik strenght ain't realy to scare but to do it properly.
With zik u can get the best roid results most often if ur lucky with ur fleet and target.
I liked the thief/vultures/cutlass/corsairs and maybe some sabres.
To a shame the vultures were deadly hard to get
Most enoyed to capure some dems.
