Making Money from Dead popes?!
I was in Morrisons yesterday and I noticed this DVD.
I can't believe that they are actually trying to make money from the death of the Pope!! I wonder if the vatican gets royalties for it!? Made by the BBC?!?!
Even more importantly - what the hell is on it?!?!

Re: Making Money from Dead popes?!
I just googled it...
http://www.libertyfilmfestival.com/l...ndex.php?p=222
please tell me this isn't true... a Mel Gibson film?!?!
I'm starting to work out the plot. It will be a freedom thriller, the pope will go and defeat communism single handed. There will be a random English Bad guy or group of badguys, or he will find some way of insulting the English. He will then knock down the Berlin wall and have a duel with Stalin.
its going to be a fantastic film.

Re: Making Money from Dead popes?!
I wonder if they'll make a film about Ratzinger.
I could be played by Jonny Depp!

he's got to be wounded and then stitch up his own wounds with a rusty nail and a piece of string. English are no good as bad guys now, the bad guys have to be arabs or your movie won't sell. since he went into a mosque, maybe we can expand on that a bit by having him burn one down instead and raising the American flag on the ashes.
when people complain about lack of accuracy, tell them that U571 "The Patriot" , "passion" and Braveheart weren't either, "they are just movies"

Re: Making Money from Dead popes?!
Heared they tipped Oskar Schindler (aka Liam Neeson).
IŽd say they should save him for the movie about Ratzinger in a year or 5, seeing the simular background between Schindler and Ratzinger
