Nos are proud to announce that we have merged with TFD aka The Frying Dutchmen.
TFD being one of the veteran alliances in Planetarion will undoubtly give
NoS some new active players and a bigger memberbase.
TFD will merge into NoS and NoS will be the name of the new alliance

I myself have seen TFD in action in the times when Planetarion was much younger.
And I know what this dutch based alliance can do.
I am looking forward to be working alongside with people like Gerbie and HRS

im not going into the debate who's best of WP or NoS. And judging by the feel im getting for this round I think everyone will be in for a suprise this round. NoS is back.

As you haven't posted here in a while, I'd like to point out that totally unsubstantiated comments(i.e. you showing no evidence) is as good as flaming on this forum.

I hate to be another one to put a dampener on what should be good news for both parties... but TFD and NoS? Why?

TFD never got off to a good (re)start, and haven't even lasted long enough to start the round. And don't tell me NoS and TFD work well together or anything like that, because you were hunting around for merges and blocks right from the beginning (remember you asked to merge with Veneratio)

I'd just like to know why you no longer want to go solo, why you aren't returning to the alliances you left (especially two ROCK HCs) and why you think that NoS and TFD are a good team.

From the start we realized that most likely we could not go solo. We needed at least an ally and probably a close co-operation with another alliance. Close co-operation is most efficient in this game if you merge ingame.

When we decided to recreate our own (id)entity again in this game, we decided to look further than Rock - at least until we knew more about other possibilities and what we would require ourselves. NoS welcomed us with open arms, while our communication with Rock was unsatisfactory.

I am please to see NoS and TFD make what could be a profitable merger. I've always liked both alliances, I know good players and people in both, at least one of which is making a comeback to the game because of this - so thanks TFD and NoS

i can't believe how sad some of the people in this thread are... flaming others for merging 2 alliances? trying to keep the game alive by merging.. therefore keeping players interested in the game?

how terribly sad to flame such people.
especcially when i see someone like thundercat posting an alliance can't handle something alone... while he/she/it just quits after a bit of incoming, tfd atleast never done that.

Well to be honest you cant exactly say many good stuff about WP the last few rounds matey

But on this occasion i agree as i beleive the only reason why these allies did this was TFD came back hoping to achive summot this round and didnt get hardly any members so there only option was to go with another allie, a key example NoS as there also low on members im asuming this round... especially to put Kargool in charge

Don't get me wrong here, Darky, I have many friends in WP (atleast I used to have, and I'm fairly sure there are still quite a few around). I've spent many rounds playing with them, and I know very well what they are capable off.

Also, I worked on a HC level with NoS in Round 10, when hirr merged into NoS in-game, so I'm not talking about something I have zero knowledge about.

Comparing NoS and WP is of no use whatsoever. Both have been a shadow of it's once glorious former self, but that does not necesarilly make them bad. Both alliances still have good players I'd say.

Times have changed. WP is a decent alliance... NoS did not do very well the past few rounds but I Really hope this merger with TFD can kick up things a notch or two for them.

Don't ruin the respect some (including myself) still have for WP. It's definately not worth it.

For the love of god.. get a new name, how many orignal NoS members are left? ... even Dingo joined after it was founded... he wasnt even in the cluster it was formed from.
