Re: Round 37 predictions thread
As HC of Ascendancy, I can confirm that everything JBG says is reviewed in detail by our highly experienced PR team and is consequently labeled with the Ascendancy Stamp of Approval.

Good, because I wouldn't want to believe a word he says unless the Asc PR team gave its Stamp of Approval.

I think that even before he puts his thoughts on "paper", it already has the Asc PR stamp of approval.

Re: Round 37 predictions thread
I see Newdawn's win as a protest from the universe, to set new standards on how to play this game. If you take care of your alliance mates and help them out with picking targets, aswell as making sure they dont crash, you will just get pinned down by a massive block. However, if you fill your alliance with people who doesnt care if their alliance "mate" crash or not, then you will be awarded with the blessing of all the other "top" alliances to grow untouched.
Keep telling yourselves that these so called "vendettas" are whats making the decissions in this game, but really its a few individuals that has become a BIT too comfortable on doing absolutely nothing to improve their alliance and the community inside it.
I delayed my retirement by coming back in round 34 to help proving an alliance can win on its own, by being efficient and treating its members fairly. It was topped by the hilarious powerhouse Apprime, and to a certain extent Ascendany, was in round 35. However round 36, which i didnt play, and certainly round 37 have been so boring because of reasons stated above, that ive had enough of it. No more wasting time to achieve something, when you are forced to watch lazyness get rewarded.
Its smurfing hilarious.

Re: Round 37 predictions thread
ND's result isn't a protest in any sense of the word. What happened this round was osiris hit apprime and both alliances progressed slowly early on. Evo went to #1 and looked fairly strong. Ascendancy and ND helped apprime against osiris and evo, who then got CT on their side. The three of us were pretty much winning that fight and then ND decided to hit apprime with osiris and evo for being gay. Apprime got beaten down on and asc went to #1 and then apprime dropped their nap with ascendancy to try and have a shot at #1 and we got beaten down on by apprime/osiris/evo and ND went to #1. This is the course of events this round.
Also everyone knows an alliance can win a round on its own. It's happened a bunch of times recently.

Yeah, the universe is a bunch of raving rebels who protest like mad.

"Being gay" is quite an apt description. Had Apprime conducted themselves differently, ND wouldn't have switched sides, as it seemed a far more comfortable position for us to be in.
The fact that we came out on top was not something I expected at any point, however the political decisions of others opened it up for us, and in truth I believe we also had more goodwill than some other alliances, which helped give us that final push.
To say the round was uneventful is quite obviously wrong. However, the blocking did eventually make finding targets quite a bit harder, and forced each alliance to face the fact that they'd have to hit into their own gals sooner or later. In some respects, this probably made it feel more stagnated and less enjoyable for many of those who've been used to a less blocky way of fighting. Personally, blocks don't change much for me in terms of enjoyment, however I did get frustrated with how entitled people felt about not having their own alliance hit their gal.

Re: Round 37 predictions thread
Evaluation time! I'm glad to say predictions were as bad as always. There were only 3 people who didn't predict an Ascendancy or Apprime win and only 1 who accurately predicted an Evolution win. Besides that one prediction, no one else figured Evolution would be a top 3 alliance. Only 3 people got the other 2 top 3 correct; Osiris disappointed, being present in 11 lists, while NewDawn exceeded general expectations. 9 people had Ascendancy in the top 3. No one mentioned an alliance other than Ascendancy, Apprime, NewDawn, Osiris or Evolution.
If we went ahead and awarded 3 points for accurately predicting the winner, and 1 for having a top 3 alliance correct:
3 JoeJoe: Evolution
2 isildurx: Apprime, NewDawn
2 Colt: Apprime, Osiris, NewDawn
2 Kaiba: Apprime, NewDawn, Osiris
1 Veedeejem!: Ascendancy, Apprime, Osiris
1 neroon: Ascendancy, Osiris, NewDawn
1 JonnyBGood: Apprime, Osiris, Ascendancy
1 VenoX: Apprime, Ascendancy, Osiris (unordered)
1 Psi_K: Ascendancy, Osiris, Apprime
1 gzambo: Apprime
1 Makhil: Apprime, Ascendancy, Osiris
1 Light: Osiris, Ascendancy, Apprime
1 CBA: Ascendancy, Apprime, Osiris
1 Assassin: Apprime
1 ricoshay: Apprime, Osiris, Ascendancy
1 Varok: NewDawn
