I got rejected for uni with the second highest English grade in my school, (needed two B's, got an A and an Advanced B, blah-de-blah) i stepped on an upturned needle which went half way into my big toe, even if i get appeals in my subjects, they will come too late for me to get into Uni, i feel ill, im working, the days i have off are useless (who wants to party on a wednesday or thursday night?), and to top it off, ntl cut off my internet yesterday

I feel i am somewhat owed a few breaks

I forgot to mention; i cant apply through UCAS clearing

They have offered me my insurance place (Stirling). I have two options:
1. Accept it and leave home at 17 (No thanks)

Anyway, my plan of action right now is to write to the admissions office. I'm going to get my English teacher, the head of the English department, and perhaps my media studies teacher (the deputy head of the school) to add parts on to my letter at the end.

Unfortunately i dont have TIME to do this until Friday, because im too busy working in Maplin.

Having a year off is not as bad as many people says it is.
Of course, the first month is , the two next are hell, but after that, it's funky!

Also, after the year is over, you probably feel more motivated for school and stuff. I did, at least. Now, im actually enjoying school!

i wrote a letter to the Dean.

Went down to my old school today, my english teacher and the head of english were more than happy to add thier own letter personally reccomending me, and i added it to my envelope, and sent it away.

All i can do now is hope.
