Do you Delete your threads
When they have served their purpose, do you delete the Threads where you are the originator?
(I do when I remember)

That's just like destroying a bunch of flowers because you don't feel that they're any good anymore.
Who gives you the right; think of all the replies, well thought out and carefully written.
Who are we humans to play god?

1. Who said i was human?
2. I give myself the right.
3. They are rarely well thought out
4. Its even rarer that they're well written...

nup, they stay for posterity
for example, MM's old thread "who will die first"
if he had deleted that, he wouldnt have been able to link it in his update

Frequently, if I regret making a thread or it's a quick query to be answered. If there's a deleted threads forum I'm sure this can be confirmed.

The Deleted Threads forum has a misleading name. It is where unwanted threads are moved to by mods; threads deleted properly just disappear into entropy.

if they serve no more useful purpose, and are not being posted in, then deletion is a good thing.
perhaps the forum should be such that any threads that have been inactive for more than 72 hours, should be automatically deleted?

Never!
They are part of our heritage! There should be an EU law protecting old threads, the same law they use to protect Newcy Brown Ale.
