Re: [FOOTBALL] Bumper 20 match Xmas prediction extravaganza (that midge5 will win again)
As they play two sets of matches in four days, and most people have got places to go, things to do etc I thought we could have a double entry (oo-er) to really separate the great (midge5) from the lame (erm... me). It would be fun if people who know nothing about football would have a go too, just to see if there is any skill in it.
I'll add the scores from all 20 matches into one table, and let's hope bad weather doesn't mess up the programme

I wouldn't be offended if you'd put 10-0, it's an understandable prediction based on form.
Sad to see you putting Chelsea 4-0 Portsmouth yourself though...

Re: [FOOTBALL] Bumper 20 match Xmas prediction extravaganza (that midge5 will win again)
a game like chelsea away is a 'big game' but it doesn't matter - anything that is 2-0 defeat or less will be a good result for us. Games at home to Spurs, Leicester, Blackburn, Charlton and Everton matter to me, cos if we win 2 or 3 of them we stay up. The team don't seem to want it that way though. Hopefully Teddy and Sherwood will want to get revenge on Spurs, and Anderton will throw the game for us Claridge-style and we can get 3 points - then I woke up .
At the moment our players aren't in our good books considering how they played on sunday, except for 2 or 3 of them.

Re: [FOOTBALL] Bumper 20 match Xmas prediction extravaganza (that midge5 will win again)
Fntasy football question: For the Liverpool vs Bolton match Steven Gerrard or "so good they named him twice" okocha? I'm leaning towards the latter cos liverpool are pants right now but I'm not too sure.

i dunno, i have Gerrard in my team, but Okotcha has been improving as hes settled in the last couple of months... i would swap them over myself, but Okotcha wont be playing during January because of the African Nations Cup

Yeah, but it's fantasy footie. Will Gerrard do enough? He can make like a dozen great tackles and spray fantastic passes around all day, but if okocha scores with his only touch of the game jayjay gets more points.
