No, the thing is, you missed the worst part of it. i can ALMOST COPE with our immense shiteness. What i cant cope with is no one facing the concequences.
Lets look at ACTION versus CONCEQUENCE.
ACTION
Nigel Quashie give the ball away between 10 and 15 times in the opposition half, stifling any possibility we have of attacking on a regular basis.
CONCEQUENCE
The Scottish media hails him as a great find for one shot which he swerved back towards the keeper who made it look like a much better shot than it was. Instead of being criticised for his lax passing, crossing, lack of forward runs, we get an interview with Quashie (talking in an english accent) thanking the fans for all their support and how they cheered him on. Not only is this not true, but he tries the old "oh my god you wouldnt believe the atmosphere here" - not only was hampden not full, but it has a SHITE atmopshere anyway. What a fanny.
ACTION
Scotland pretty much never look like scoring or playing a cutting edge ball. Our best chance is when a slovenian defender knees it (dickov takes the credit off the media, he didnt touch it though) and the slovenian keeper tips it off the bar for a corner.
CONCEQUENCE
Paul Dickov and James McFadden come out and tell us how incredibly unlucky we were not to score and how we deserved to win. PISH. We never looked like scoring.
ACTION
The Fans suffer a devestatingly boring 0-0 draw against a rubbish side who were much worse than we expected and just were there to be beat. As usual, the players and Berti are Booed off the field for yet another shite performance.
CONCEQUENCE
Berti Vogts says : We played well for most of the 90 minutes and gave something back to the Tartan Army," "It was a very, very exciting match". What the ****, gave something back to the Tartan army?
You see, i can cope with us being shit. What i cant cope with is us being shit and then hearing from everyone involved how good we were.
