Knights of the Old Republic was the best Star Wars game since TIE Fighter.

Knights of the Old Republic II is being made by the people who made Fallout and Planescape: Torment, and looks like it's going to be absolutely fantastic.

I find it highly amusing that you pick the only decent lucasarts new star wars game of recent times to make this thread with.

Given that KOTOR was an immense critical and commercial success, I think there being a sequel was a bit of a no-brainer.

Furthermore, what the hell do you mean the quality of the game is irrelevent.

I don't know about you, but I play games I like, not ones that have original universes or good licenses. The two may and often do concide, but I'm not basing my purchse on it.

I will quite happily purchase a game based on the quality of the previous game or the reviews of a new product telling me it is an excellent game.

However i have a deep rooted hatred for almost all things Star Wars since The Phantom Menace, and the 300 million products the franchise has since spawned.

This may be irrational, but you hate Newcastle simply because youre a Sunderland fan. This is no less or more rational.

All things connected with the Prequels are terrible.

KOTOR is set several thousand years back, however, which is a plus.

Anyway, there should have been a universe where we'd get KOTOR2 and S&M2
