Are you capable of reading with one eye shut?
with both eyes? (using only your right eye, and again using only your left eye)

Re: Are you capable of reading with one eye shut?
Why wouldn't anyone be able too who has considered normal use of both eyes?

Re: Are you capable of reading with one eye shut?
I've just realised that my vision isnt actually as normal as I suspected it to be. I suppose I'll be making a doctor's appointment then.

Re: Are you capable of reading with one eye shut?
Reading with my left eye is distracting, I think it doesn't focus exactly. But I can read perfectly well with either.

Re: Are you capable of reading with one eye shut?
ok I just took an online eye test and my right eye is apparently at least twice as powerful as my left eye. I cant even really read letters that are an inch high using my left eye (I could make out what they were, but not concentrate on them enough to read in a meaningful way). This sucks.
I have vague memories of having a lazy eye when I was really young, so maybe it just never got fixed properly

I actually find my eyesight get's a bit better in a weird sense. I think it might be the pupil dilation thing. At a certain point in the evening I have a weird realisation and my eyesight suddenly improves. I can see all the imperfections in everyone faces (described as 'anti-beer goggles' by sbolly), 'tis quite scary. Of course I then love everyone so it's all good.

Re: Are you capable of reading with one eye shut?
My left eye has normal vision, my right eye can't read very well and letters are highly blurry.
Considering I have a lazy right eye and my left eye normally does all of the looking anyway, that's hardly surprising, though.

Re: Are you capable of reading with one eye shut?
i get that too dante... BUT i dont think i have ever been able to read anything smaller than a roadsign, sometimes i can catch particular words if i close one eye and another and squint about a lot, but not most of the time.
but loving everyone is

Re: Are you capable of reading with one eye shut?
I'm another of the left-eye good, right-eye bad.
My left does most of the work, and is especially good for close-up stuff. The right does ok for distances so I get by. Should get some face furniture though.
and what about colour vision? I have trouble with red/brown, lt.green/yellow, blue/purple etc. The test for this at school was very public and the others found it most amusing that I couldn't see the numbers in those ishihara test things. The bastards.
