scary thoughts
mosquitos could give you AIDS.
we were discussing this in class the other day. aids is primarily transmitted by blood, so if a mosquito bit someone with aids, and then bit me, would it not trasmit aids??

yes but you'd have a pretty good idea if you've been raped. sometimes you don't notice mosquitos
like the other day.. i woke up and had two mosquito bites on my hand.. damn buggers
i could have aids!

Where on earth do you live that you have mosquitoes and aren't accustomed to using mosquito nets etc? You have far more to worry about than AIDS.

I remember from highschool sexstuff lessons that mosqito's cant give you aids. somehow they do not suck up the infected bloodcells or something like that.

Well, AIDS isn't usually fatal, while some of the other diseases mosquitoes carry are. So probably.

People with AIDS just take expensive drugs and try not to have sex too often. So the danger would be people getting AIDS and spreading it - and being truthful would let people in mosquito-rife countries know to get regular check-ups.
Yeah, worse than malaria, sort of depends how you look at it.

Not really. I live in the UK where we're completely safe from all diseases. Do Canadians just walk around casually while getting bitten? Though I think dangerous blood-borne diseases usually come in movie-style regional epidemics so are only occasionally dangerous. Do you talk about this sort of stuff with your fellow Canadian creatures? If you don't know anything at all about it surely you should talk to your friendly local doctor about risks and precautions, if you care about your health. Maybe your mosquitoes are particularly safe, I dunno.

mosquito bites are like rain.
it happens.. and there's nothing you can do to stop it.
well.. unless you want to smell like a can of bugspray exploded over your head :\
we go camping.. mosquitos are there.. they bite.. life goes on.
it's the laid back attitude we have i guess. if i get bit.. i get bit.. if it's diseased.. well.. sucks to be me.

they generally tell us if there's an epidemic in the area. other than that.. yah our mosquitos are safe.. just annoying :\
and itchy fs. these bites on my hand are still itchy and i've had them for 4 days now! i don't remember mosquito bites lasting that long a few years ago :\

They cant, the aids t-virus dies 3 seconds after being out of the human body. Also mosquito's sterlize their food with an almost bleach like substance that kills the virus all bar malaria
